Dave- seems like an awesome day- i think you need a snowmobile now for your kiting experiences- hope to see you in May

nice day guys! the tow back was cool, just put a board on you next time for a tow!

FrontRangeJeff - 12-12-2014 at 08:42 AM

Board is a great idea...oh well. The skis I used for the sled had a completely blown sketch edge anyway and were headed for the trash so the fact I got one good final excursion out of them was cool.

The site has tremendous kiting potential!! HUGE meadows to be had especially to the south. Just need an easy way to get there and more snow but it was a total adventure!

The winds were sketchy but I got a kite fix.

This just means you Colorado guys need to add snowmobiles to your lists of kiting equipment

Snowmobiles would definitely open up many areas, but then the whole thing becomes a production. CONVOY!!!

Nice... try Antero reservoir... that's my next destination goal... I don't think I can get out this weekend (and possibly even next)... Then... Dillon :)

FrontRangeJeff - 19-12-2014 at 06:06 AM

I was pretty thrilled with Tarryall last weekend.

Totally right - By the next time we get out we'll have all sorts of additional options:D. Antero and 11 mile are 15 to 20 times bigger then Tarryall and can have mile long speed tacks unlike the short Tarryall turn fest. I may still get out this weekend if I can.
