YouTube Upload

Chrisz - 4-1-2015 at 01:14 PM

I have had a 13 MB video loading for an hour now and nothing is happening, the uploading is still at 0%, I have pretty slow DSL, but come on. Is this normal? I emailed the video to myself in a reasonable amount of time so I don't think size is the problem.

Are there other video sharing Web sites that are faster at uploading.

A lot of guys here seem to favor Vimeo... you could give that site a try.

I was able to upload from my tablet so I am guessing my security software on my computer is slowing it down????

Ive got kaspersky any one know how to turn off the security for that web site? Ok figured that out, shut off security still wont upload.

That's some good footage there Chris and nice work with the over bar steering but if I may offer a suggestion. You get the same result if you sheet in while steering, this will give you a faster turn rate. And then to get even faster add over bar steering. ;)

The surface looks freaken MINT!

Ok that is the mising link, I knew there had to be a better way to get that thing to turn! I dont know why I never tried that:D. Now I cant wait to get back out next weekend!

That was the best surface we had all year so far, it got a little messed up with hard drifts today, we had 35 mph winds for the last 12 hours it is a white out on the lake and it is not snowing.

What Vimeo package are you guys going with? Is the free one good enough?

Free.99 :D

I have the pay option on Vimeo.

I think it's only like $5 a month. Geez there goes a Margarita in funds.........grins.

You can upload much more data with the pro plan.

My last 4 minute 1080p video was 750-800 meg, so that's almost a gig of data.

Free plan only provides like 500 meg a week I believe

I prefer Vimeo as well. I use the free version and probably only post 3 to 5 vids a year... no problem... Free for me

They are also much less stringent with their Copyright policing when using music in Videos. While they do tell you in their rules any regs that the responsibility when using copyrighted material falls on YOU, they don't do like YouTube and cut you off before your vid even posts. Just know that if for some reason the hammer drops and you get pursued for copyright infringement it's ALL ON YOU!... Buuuuuuuuut... thats not very likely IMHO.

All my vids are posted on vimeo and I've never never never had an issue... I'm not promoting a brand or trying to sell something, so I don't worry about it.

Chrisz - 6-1-2015 at 11:14 AM

I purchased the music so I hope I am not infringing on any copyright laws, I think I am going to go the free method using both YouTube anf Vimeo.

If I end up needing more space then I will pay, it is a very convenient place to store videos. Most of my content is still on the little sd cards that go in to the camera, kind of hard to share that way.

Do you have movies of you getting pulled off the ground. That is what I want to see.
Kite jumping that is the way to go!!!!! No, I don't think so:evil:

Chrisz - 6-1-2015 at 11:37 AM

I am working on it, little jumps here and there nothing on veido at this point, I think my one foot off the ground jumps would get laughed at.

I think I will try practicing jumping over water, my accidental loft last week was enough to convince me to keep my feet on the ground untill we have a cushion of snow or water. The ice is really hard!
