Who (what dealer) was the board purchased from?

What did they say about it?

Fun With Wind is a good shop. I've been there a couple times. Jim is the owner and while his power kiting selection is limited he goes out power
kiting with the locals every Wednesday.
His shop is packed with mostly SLKs and dual liners but he seems pretty passionate about power kiting. He's done well for himself and was in the
process of acquiring additional space because he had outgrown his previous location. FWW is the largest kite store I have ever seen and I've been
kiting for 10 years and have seen a number of stores.
He sold ATBs a number of years ago but then stopped and now has them advertised again. I was in the store back in Oct or Nov and he had no boards in
the store though I think they were on his website. Same thing with Busters. He had them advertised but told me he didn't stock them - he'd order
them as they were ordered and have them shipped direct to the buyer.
Its probably worth calling him if you haven't already. Maybe he can help get things moving for you. He must have some pull to provide the discounts
he does based on the volume of kites he moves.
I think he or his wife also runs another business so sometimes they can be tough to get on the phone. He's primarily geared at being an internet
storefront or a store to come in and buy off the shelf but he has the support of the local kite community here and has been very receptive to stocking
and special ordering things we want. I've had better luck calling him then emailing him and he has always returned calls I've left on his answering
machine.
Good luck.

Oh, and as far as shipping the whole board back... that may be typical. A guy around here broke his GI board and those are warrantied for life.
They wanted to see pictures of the whole thing before they replaced it. Turns out he had modified the deck and binding mounts which turned out to be
the cause of the decks failure - well that and he was a heavy rider on a light board. I'm assuming they may want the whole thing back for the same
purposes.

So - what's the scoop? Did you get a new board?
