As of 3 days ago.... awaiting part from Germany.

The rumblings among impatient villagers is growing louder and more irate.

On their website, you can sign up for a newsletter that contains project updates. However, those have been sporadic, so I kind of went to the horse's mouth.... on the bottom of the Kickstarter page you can read user comments.

Many of the recent comments have been about the paucity of project status updates and the "moving target" nature of the release date.

A couple of comments relate to the fact that they may be alterring some of the design aspects of the pen, most notably removing the knurling/grip pattern on the barrel of the pen and making it smooth bodied. A few have commented on the possible negative impact this would have on ergos.

Any orders of the Lixpen will be delayed by them fulfilling all there KS backer orders first.

By comparison, the 3Doodler has already shipped 130,000 of their Gen 1 Doodlers and a much more streamlined Version 2 will release on May 1st (with all the normal caveats regarding release dates still applying).

The Lix Pen was successfully on May 29, 2014, and the stated release date is "early 2015."

The notion of "early" is currently the bone of contention.

Sam

Speechless....

It's all about the support staff doing the research. ;)
