I just just recently bought I Rhombus Firebee 8.5 for practically nothing (as in R600/£33) its in a mint condition, never been flown...I've done
research on it and there seems to be a control issue with this particular kite. Can anybody tell me how to use power rings on this kite.

What control issues are you having ?
Power rings if I have understood you, are used to pull in brake lines so they closely follow the power lines for better aerodynamics.
You'll have a ring with a small length of line that connects both sets of lines at the bridle end. Larks head or loop through your power rings to the
power line bridle. The ring goes on the brake lines so it can slide.
My Gin Tonkawa's had them. I will try to search my hard drive for a picture.
found....

I use them all of the time. I scale them for the size of the kite. The ones on that Gin look short to me, for an 8m kite I think I use a 30 or 40 cm
line.
