The Speed 4 10m is one of the best kites I've ever flown. It has just the right blend of lift, depower, forgiveness, turn speed and, well... speed.
I've flown this kite in 8mph and been able to ride due to its amazing reaction to apparent wind. You just dive, lean back and it does the rest. I've
put in probably 40 hours on this kite, about a third on grass field, a third on snow and a third on the beach at JIBE. I bought it from a guy who
flew it maybe a couple of times before selling it to me. The lines are in great shape and the bar shows a little wear and tear, and I broke the solid
donkey dick a few sessions ago so I just taped it with some duct tape and it works perfectly fine. I knocked about $50 off the price because of this.
If you want to buy a new one, they're probably about $10-20, but it works fine as is. There are no tears or repairs in the canopy and I couldn't
find any pinholes or any other problems. I don't think it even needs tuned. The bag is in cherry condition and even contains some replacement
parts.

The Peak 1 is revolutionary for so many reasons. I posted a complete review earlier that talks about its merits, but let it suffice to say it's one
of the most versatile, friendly kites I've ever flown in low wind. It flies in almost no wind -- On a snow day where we could only ride gusts, I was
moving before the guys with the 17m and 18m "low wind" kites were moving, and I stopped after they stopped. It's an amazing low wind kite. When it's
overpowered, it's still amazingly versatile, even providing a bit of lift at the top of the window. It's super beginner friendly and incredibly light
to carry. In short, I think this is one of the best beginner kites a person could own, and it scales so well that you can fly it well into your
advanced stages (Yeah, I'm getting another one -- I'm just changing sizes.)
I've probably put in 10 or so snow sessions with the Peak, and it has no holes or tears or patches. The power line and bar show a little wear and
tear, but nothing alarming (see pics). This kite has many, many years to go.
########################## Unity 6m (COMPLETE Bag, Lines, Bar) ###################################
The 6m Unity is a fantastic depower kite for those nuking conditions. I've had it as high as mid 30's mph and was able to hold it down okay (I'm 175
lbs) although I wouldn't suggest that. I'd say 35 is the reasonable ceiling for landboarding or buggying -- more for water. However, the range on
this thing is huge. The power from huge, fast loops in 15mph winds is similar to the power I used to get from other kites twice the size in sine-wave
mode. It's fast but predictable and the depower is functional all the way through the wind range. It's pretty buoyant at 35 mph, but not so lifty as
to loft you into the heavens in variable winds (I'm looking at you, Psycho III). I noticed one string sticking out of one of the seams... pic is
included. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me, but I figured it was worth sharing. It also comes with (I think) all the spare parts that comes with a
new flysurfer... or at least damn close.
I've had the Unity out mostly on grass and have probably put in about 30 hours -- mostly in the buggy. For some reason, this kite and the buggy go
really really well together.

I bought this Harness new about 1.5 years ago and used it twice before I bought my ion seat harness. Turns out I'm a seat harness guy. This thing
comes with hook knife and is still stiff and relatively unscuffed. I'm hoping that if we calculate shipping I can save the buyer a few bucks. It has
a handle pass leash line thingy and a strap to keep it from riding up.

I'm probably not going to use this bar any time soon, so I figured if someone needed one, please let me know. Otherwise, I'll just hang onto it
because it's a pretty sick bar and it's worth more to me than the $190 would be. That being said, I remember needing a bar and being flabbergasted at

I also flew the Speed4 10m at JIBE. One of the things that really impressed me was the insane amount of smooth depower in the bar with average throw
length. The power on and off is very linear and smooth. This kite could almost be a one kite quiver for someone wanting a Depower. I pulled a
couple warpspeed downwinders that were limited by the beach traffic, but was easily over 30mph on the buggy and could tell that I was only scratching

Small depower foils could be challenging in gusty inland winds, aren't they? A LEI would it least keep its shape when a lull comes and won't pop up
like a parachute to catch that following big gust

RPM is superquick but relaunch is not its strong side. However you won't fly a small RPM in light winds when realaunch is questionable.

Yep, that's why I have 8-10m RPMs and a 14M rally. The RPMs are awesome when the wind is strong, the Rally for when the wind is lighter since it has
much better relaunch and power/meter ratio than the RPMs. There is a significant difference in power between the 8 and 10m RPMs, similar to the
difference between the 10 RPM and the 14m rally.
I don't see how you could use a 4.5M RPM on water ever. My wife has a 5.5M Cabrinha (which has more power than an RPM) and weighs 115lbs and needs
around 30 knots for it, at least upper 20s. I used it once and I was the only one on the water in Hatteras with 40+ knots of wind probably. On inland

My 2 cents...
I got the 4.5 as a nuker kite and I love it just for that and I found it for cheap. I've land boarded with it in 30+ and snow kited in 30 G 45 wind no
problem. I've also snow kited in lulls of 15 working it with loop after loop. My perception so far - it has much more power then you'd expect.
I haven't tried it on H2O yet seeing as I got it this winter but it wasn't a primary purchase for water....personally my go to high wind H20 kite is
my 7 Razor anyway.
I will however try the 4.5 in Wyoming this spring and capture some video....got to say...I'm pretty confident that on a directional I'll be cruising
in 30mph wind no problem but we will see. Certainly I won't be pumping it up for a TT session in under 30 though. Without big travels involved most my
H2O sessions involve Wyoming - it can certainly be gusty but I've had lots of good days where if it is pumping (25ish+) the gusts aren't bad at all -
maybe +25%. What is tough are the days with 10 as the base...there will be gusts of 20 easy and lulls of literally zero...
Funny how kite dynamics / characteristics change by size...I have a 9 meter Vector and love it but my 12 sucks royally...(yeah I know-they are not
known to be brutally powerful anyway) upwind tanks...power/meter ratio sucks....good to know about the large RPM....but a big RPM wouldn't be my first
choice for light wind anyway.

Yeah, I've totally changed my stance on nuker kites. I used to want the lower aspect ratio, less aggressive kites. Now I think I want smaller, more
powerful kites. I don't plan on park n riding anything 6m or less any time soon and it's fun to throw them around on long lines and generate a wide
range of power based on your loop choices. And you get more range with slightly more aggressive kites like the RPM.
I'm guessing my 8m RPM will go up to about 35 or maybe 40 mph on water (I'm 175 lbs.) so the "nuker" will mostly be for fun, fast flying and tons of

Nope. I was fully trimmed in on 8m RPM at 35 knots and overpowered. I can start riding 8m at 17-18 knots and it tops on 32. That's on dihydrogen

grigorib - 35 knots is 40 mph....and btw, kiting at 7,200 ft (like we often do here on H2O) elevation the air is much less dense and therefore
requires a larger kite.
But lets just fall back to reality - picking the right size kite for conditions and skill is always the right move....in 40 mph I'd sure as hell
either be on my 4.5 or better yet probably indoors.
By summer I'm under 150 lbs so yeah - 4.5 may get water time but very well might not. How in the hell did we even get here anyway? We're talking the
virtues of SS RPMs on Dave's add for selling 3 bad ass flysurfers...weirdest thread hijack ever.
