For the video I just taped a Mobius camera to a baseball cap and caught a quick 1 minute film of front yard Antics.
These FX071 helicopters are darn cheap fun. Robust as heck, spare parts are readily available (impact happens) and for $75 you have a heck of a cool
toy. Easy learning curve with built in 6 axis gyro it hovers level right out of the box.
there is great website forum support so easy maintenance, so for only $75 just charge the batteries and fly.
Buy two, that way you have a spare.

man thats collective pitch for 75$. gotta get one just to see!
how much time do you have on it?. the coaxial stuff craps out about 50hours
UnknownAX - 26-3-2015 at 09:31 AM
Collective pitch? 75$? Where? :o
The one linked is fixed pitch and has the kind of tail rotor with a 2nd motor, those used to be horrible flying but I guess the gyro/flybarless
systems have improved over the last years?
PHREERIDER - 26-3-2015 at 10:59 AM
i see now for a moment it got me for sure. i saw it wasn't coaxial and ready to order. quadcopter has been the best for $.
trying to step to a stringray http://curtisyoungblood.com/V2/products/quadcopters/stingray... these things are wicked!, they have been cloned but still sticking to original.
the sport quadcopter is fun and easy. the coaxial are fun but kinda weak in general.
heres some recent action https://vimeo.com/123267448

Not nearly as fast as your toys, but I've been flying a DJI Phantom 2 for a few months. Tons of fun and now has a follow me feature so it should be
able to video some of my buggy sessions.
PHREERIDER - 26-3-2015 at 04:30 PM
the follow target is way cool, phantom is deluxe feature rich set up no doubt. i am a sport flyer and trying to find the elements i like about it.
definitely like fast and low. quick and easy for a quick fly, i'm still sporting nitro sport planes and is abit of hassle in comparison.
the camera is more edit vid stuff(rather be flying!) so i am loving on the sport fly for now, the pov race stuff has my attention for my first
custom build, don't know about the pov yet, we'll see! thats punny!!

I've flown several platforms of quads.........done FPV and filmed with an 808 camera on them.
Quads and Heli's are two different breeds, with different applications.
I find these new flybarless fixed pitch have more than enough spunk, robustness, speed, thrills, and now make my quad copters (V262, Syma X1, CG20)
seem like lumbering dinosaurs.
For $75, this heli is damnnn fast and fun.
This model is a tough breed, not a Walmart or RadioShack special disposable model.
after several hundred flights on two 071 birds.
Stock Blades and head unit gimbal take impacts and more, blades are bulletproof, gimbal too. If you bend a driveshaft you deserve it.
steel frame stout.
Tail rotor a weak link? not really, and if you need one (yeah I cracked one and deserved it) spare parts are like $3.
keep your motors lubed, these are brushed motors. Brushless is the next turbo level.
Modding them is half the fun, add a carbon fiber tail boom a must do mod . $4 in parts and some hot glue.
these fly great outdoors, are fast nimble as heck, and cheap.
I have two birds, 4 batteries. 8-10 minutes a flight off the stock Li-po batteries.
PHREERIDER - 27-3-2015 at 04:52 AM
i hacked my mini quad as the motors went and upgraded motors and lipos man they are fun.
thanks for for intel, you get parts where?
Windy Heap - 27-3-2015 at 01:55 PM
parts source depends on how long you want to wait for a slow boat from china, or sourced from a US warehouse, and what Models are
supported..........that's what I love about the FX071, lots of parts sources.
some popular sales agents:
Tmart.com
HobbyKing.com
Banggood.com
are the big ones.
