He's totally hooked on the sport and he's been flying my kites for a while but it's really getting him down borrowing my gear all the time.
Unfortunately, his job is such that he only gets paid if business is good and that means he has exactly 0 expendable income. I'd spring for a cheap
kite for him, but he's starting to feel like he owes me something. I'd rather him feel like he owes PKF something
I gave him my old harness for his birthday because he was using a webbing harness I tied for him, which is just a horrible idea.
Anyway, if you have an old, beat to hell, worth nothing LEI, Arc or Foil Laying around collecting dust (I'm looking at you, 2007 Best Waroo and 2005
Guerilla I), it could make a really good guy super happy. We'd pay shipping (and I can probably sneak a few extra bucks in there for gas and whatnot).
I realize its a long shot, but I figured it was worth asking. If you're feeling charitable, u2u me and we'll figure it out.
Thanks!indigo_wolf - 2-4-2015 at 08:28 PM
Might help to post what size you are looking for based on your buddy's weight and prevailing winds.

Very Cool.....and just so some of you others don't get any funny ideas.....If you are driving a porsche, have recently bought a big screen TV or
dumped over 100.00 bucks on booze in the last week..... You can not use this idea to have the PKF family fund your new kite...LOL
Everyone have a great weekend if you are celebrating and if not you can still have a wonderful weekend....I will see the WBB crowd very soon......

103$ on beer this week...gonna have to participate in this
all good kites need good homesProletariat - 3-4-2015 at 09:54 AM
Dude. You guys are so awesome.
I was thinking something between a 8 and 12m LEI. They're cheaper and our winds are gusty and variable (inland), and most LEI's handle those
conditions pretty well.
I will respond to your u2u's forthwith and update this post with a running tally. Proletariat - 3-4-2015 at 10:01 AM
Thanks Carl! That's like 50 American dollars, I'm pretty sure. . U2U sent
Also, Demoknight kindly offered up an old Fuel that will be perfect! However, it comes with no bar, so I'll use these donations to buy a compstick
(or equiv) for him. Cool? Cheeks - 3-4-2015 at 11:03 PM
I like this "pay it forward" idea. So............. I'll donate a 12m Cabrina Nitro DP, WITH ISSUES.
Has a blown bladder but the bladder man in Fla. has/had new one's in stock last time I checked.
The story is that the dude that had it only flew it a couple of times, got scared and did a noser with it, blew the bladder and let it sit in his
garage for a few years. It's been sitting in my shed for about 4 years taking up space. Like new, crispy, not bad at all, just old. Got the book also.
Like I said I'll donate the kite, as is, and the bag but someone will have to pay the UPS fee from 29801 if you want it.
I do have a new bar and line set, the RECON system in it's own bag, but it is for saleProletariat - 4-4-2015 at 07:52 AM
Thanks a bunch, cheeks, but I think Demoknight already has it covered. If you still wanna donate it, we could start a quiver for Caleb, I suppose,
but certainly not necessary. Obviously, if you wanna donate it, we will pay shipping.
Current donated total is $55 plus 10 Lyra or whatever it is Carl pays in . we
probably need about $40 more to get a bar. BEC - 4-4-2015 at 09:44 AM
Are you sending out an e-mail address so I can pay pal you?.....thanks...Proletariat - 7-4-2015 at 05:44 PM
$75 and counting. Now I'm searching for a cheap compstick online. Will post video of Caleb getting spanked by first depower kite soon Proletariat - 21-4-2015 at 07:35 PM
Mission accomplished! Thanks so much for all the help, everyone? We found a used, slightly beat-up 2010 North Rebel 10m for about $280. Caleb
talked the guy down to $250 and you fabulous PKF folks threw in about $130 total (Caleb covered the rest). He's super pumped and asked me to thank
you all. He'll probably just thank you all in person at JIBE next year
Thanks guys!!! tridude - 21-4-2015 at 09:24 PM
I have a 13m EH Ovando..........not a beginners kite being a powerful fast hybrid C kite.........how much experience does your friend have with a high
power inflatable......if you think he can handle it let me know...........this is truly a bad ass kite that will kick your butt if not
respected.............nature of the C........Proletariat - 21-4-2015 at 10:11 PM
Heya Tridude! Still loving that ion seat harness. Love it so much that I ended up buying another
I think we are good on the miracle kite. My buddy needs to stay away from early c-kites, anyway, but we got him a sweet deal on a North Rebel
instead. It's much more forgiving than those early C's. I, however, would like to take one for a spin some time soon. I've got an RPM, which is a
really open C, but I'd like to try a Fuel or a Vegas or something some time. They just look like they turn so fast.
