just found a landboard for $40 it is a mbs pro model I think, the board is cracked in the center but it has matrix trucks, ratchet bindings, rockstar
hubs, and grey tires.

gonna upgrade my other boards, replace the tri spokes with rockstars

Stage 1 COMPLETE
- buy board
It was a MBS Comp 16 PRO. It was cracked in the center, the only thing holding it together is the top and bottom laminate. the board had MBS Matrix
trucks with original rockstar wheels, and F3 Bindings with aluminum mounts. The plastic sheet on the top of the bindings was cracked but Im hoping I
can remove part of the plastic and keep the buckles.
Stage 2 COMPLETE
- strip the board for parts and take old parts off of other board
parts board:
old board:
Stage 3 COMPLETE
- make a drilling template for trucks
I used a piece of transparent plastic (acrylic) to make the template. To do do I used spray adhesive to mount it on the board and clamped the board
onto a drill press. Then I marked the template with guide lines so it will be easier to place on the board I will be drilling.
Stage 4 COMPLETE
Drilling the board
I Marked the board whith a sharpie pen to align the drilling template
ended up looking really good
I will attach the trucks tomorrow if I have time to go to the hardware store and pickup some new bolts.

I packed and brought my drill for you but never thought you needed it since you didn't ask....sorry. It also took me a day to figure out the
difference between FB pic/shortlineflyer.....I'm sure you will get it done but if you need tools etc for the fall just ask again and I will bring....
Thinking of holding a bling your buggy event in the fall on one of the nights....I have a ton of knowledge and would love to help or teach some people
to be able to fabricate things for themselves...it's not too hard once you have a little experience...

anyone know how har from the end of the board matrix go
B-Roc - 24-4-2015 at 09:12 AM
Why not use the measurement from the board they came off?
shortlineflyer - 24-4-2015 at 09:43 AM
that could work
shortlineflyer - 24-4-2015 at 09:52 AM
wont work. the board is curved differently so the trucks wont sit fat against the board
B-Roc - 24-4-2015 at 10:13 AM
Then I would think you should center the new template in the center of the kick and go no further back then the rear mount holes if possible. these
trucks are meant to work when mounted at particular angles and changing the angle changes the truck performance geometry. Is the degree of the angle
of the kick on both boards roughly similar?
shortlineflyer - 24-4-2015 at 10:21 AM
yeah, both borads are designed for channel trucks, so they should be at the same angle, but the upper hanger on the old trucks are just narrower than
the top hanger of the matrix trucks
PHREERIDER - 24-4-2015 at 11:27 AM
just redrill it on the board , make the good trucks fit the board . the narrow 2 bolt ones are hard to work with . did the matrix trucks have 4
bolt mount blocks? use shims/washers to get better/correct angle. you got goods man use them.
