I see plenty of fixed-bridle kites marketed towards landboarders (such as the PL Twister and Voltage), but looking around it seems hardly any
landboarders actually use them. Am I just missing something or does everyone use a depowerable nowadays?

There's no right or wrong kite. Just fly what you like. I'm sure there's plenty of people that use fb for multiple forms of locomotion.

i do both...the thing is jumping...if its blowing hard and you have a small fb you dont want to go up
i will jump a bit w/ my 4.9 but winds gotta be just right and its a narrow range or im overpowered
its easier to have a dp in the air and cover more conditions and be able to go up safely
i was out yesterday landboarding w/ a 3m fb which is what i learned on and still enjoy a lot

All I use for skiing and buggy is FB on handles....I've tried De-power on a bar and hate it....Flyguy0101 is still trying to convince me but the
amount of control I have over the bar can't be compared...
Fly what you love.....the only thing that sucks when using handles is your body is sometimes twisted to the side as apposed to using one hand on a bar
(while on skis)....
You will pry the handles out of my dead hands before I give them up in a buggy...

In a word...exclusively.
