Sonic Review

The Cross Kites Sonic is a race kite modeled after the Peter Lynn Vapor v1 according to the distributor.

I've flown vapors in the past and this kite is a much tamer version of the vapor. and Thanks for that. The vapor is a handful. Definitely the best race kite out there for speed...but I'm not in the go super fast category myself.

I had a 3m, 5m, and 7m out there at IBX and because of the winds, the 3m got the most used. I might have scaled to a 4m if I had one with me, but I didn't have one.

The power is smooth and predictable. the kite stayed inflated well and it didn't need as much brake input as the reactors I was flying. it did what I told it to and it shined. I was passing others out there with bigger kites and for me to pass anyone with my size and my buggy size, that's pretty amazing.

The quality is in this kite as well. The sonic doesn't skimp on anything that I could tell. Its just a well made race kite.

Check the video out. I wish I buggied with the 7m. But the winds got too fast too quick. No doubt it would have behaved equally well.

Looks like darn good value for the money, Mike. Nice to see someone making a race kite that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Excellent choice of music too...:D
