What do you guy's and gal's think of this idea?
I think it would be useful on a buggy.

I think it depends on what you want it for - if you want it for a cool recording tool for a hobby - go for it.
If you think about using it for serious kite buggy scientific tuning (say is tire A better than B) then 50 measurements per second with non-repeatable
conditions likely makes it ineffective.
You would want more like at least 1000 readings per second and ideally you would have multiple sensors like one on each power line (it would have an
interesting path...) and one on each end of the kite (including measuring local air pressure), 1 on the buggy frame, the front fork and we do have 3
wheels rotating (or not).
Next 1 on each of the riders arms and 1 on the body core.
After we analysis this data we will start to figure out what really starts to matters and probably add more sensors :o
A high end race car has lots of measurement sensors with a very high data rate...
While my post might read way too harsh - the kickstarter package does look reasonable depending on your application ...

I think this would make a great tool for schools. I hope he gets the funding.
