Last monday we had a very nice 18-24 knots day at the beach. I took my 12m PL Synergy out for some jumping i.s.o. the 15m, which I have already jumped
in comparable windspeeds.
Trying to see how much faster the 12m turns and if the jumping part still worked.
:D
Some short videos of the first part of the day:

Wicked!!! So how did it compare? Is the 15m more floaty? More height?
Don't think I'll be trying any of that with my knee though, it's only just healed. I'll stay on terra firma!Bladerunner - 15-5-2015 at 03:48 AM
I dig the little ska dance you do walking backward with the arc!
I am interested in how you feel the 15 compares also. I have only owned the 10 and 15. Much prefer the 15 for air.WackyWindsurfer - 15-5-2015 at 04:15 AM
Thanks guys!
Although I did not yet compare them in exactly the same winds, I feel the 15m has defenitely got more float. The couple of extra square meters of
ripstop will help here of course.
Last time I had the 15m straps trimmed loose completely because I was a little afraid of being overpowered (gusting to 25kn that day). This delivered
enough depower to feel safe but made the turning a little slower.
I believe the height that I was able to achieve is comparable. With the 15m it took less effort though, it had more 'pop' when pulling the bar. The
12m can be 'sent' much more aggressively though, as it turns faster. This results in longer build up of speed, power and thus lift.
Also, I had to take some steps back to build up resistance and get more lift when compared to the 15m. I am still working on my technique and do not
get the max out of the kites yet.
When jumping the 15m last time, I did not bring my GoPro, sadly enough. It was on a Saturday with a lot of people on the beach, as it was really
sunny. Too crowded to setup a cam somewhere on the beach and not wanting to watch it all the time.
@Paul, the soft sand really helps with my landing. After 4 hours of playtime my knees and legs also tell me it is time for a beer!
@Blade, I thought the music genre completes the color scheme of my Synergys best!
Also playing with GoPro studio with its Flux option for slomo and speedups...

Yeah I liked the music choice with that kite. Mine is the same colour scheme mon! WackyWindsurfer - 15-5-2015 at 04:51 AM
