As most of you know,I am a fixed bridle nut. But if there ever was a kite to make me go to the DP side. This one would be it. http://www.flysurfer.com/en/news/16056-flysurfer-brings-the-...
The ad says it will come in 11m,15m,18m . I have seen all 3 @ Va Beach w/ Ted Bautista. He told me they may be coming out w/ a 7m and a 9m as well.
Now you're talking my kind of kites, small and fast! PHREERIDER - 19-5-2015 at 11:00 AM
i think an 11m would fit a nice range for all around for me .
first i have to repair a deluxe edition speed 3 12m, maybe it will satisfy in almost the same way ...some how i doubt it. WELDNGOD - 19-5-2015 at 04:52 PM
That's pretty wild WG. Do you think that's to help keep the drag down on the trailing edge by holding it's shape better?WELDNGOD - 19-5-2015 at 06:07 PM
IDK, maybe that is a question for Ted. He's a local ,and a FB friend , so I'll inquire. I'm thinking it would affect steering a lot.Which is critical
when a kite is zipping through the window. powerzone - 23-5-2015 at 10:15 PM
i've been on the sonic several times now and ..... well..... i'm probably not gonna use my speeds anymoreKamikuza - 24-5-2015 at 02:19 AM

I just looked at feyd's video demo of the 15m on what looked to be spring conditions on the ice, and he was hauling @$$!grigorib - 24-5-2015 at 11:43 AM

Got to ride an 18m in 6 to 16 knots today, on my old Flydoor.
At first, I couldn't believe I was planing let alone holding ground, then as the wind picked up I had a nice time jumping.
Very impressed! I can see why PZ would give his Speeds up... I can see me with an 18 in the future too, maybe a 15 too.Feyd - 9-9-2015 at 06:51 AM
I dunno. I think there would be too much overlap in a 15/18 quiver. You're a stout lad and the Sonic has shloads of depow. Especially on the water.
I bet you would rarely use the 15m once you got used to the 18m.
That's my guess anyway. Kober - 9-9-2015 at 08:25 AM
As mentioned in another post I am thinking about replacing my FB race kites with Sonic , so I can use those in buggy and on water , first to go would
be my 18m Speed4 , so 18m Sonic is a must , but then ? How to built quaver with those ? Every size would cost a fortune .... lol ... and stepping
down from 18m to 11m sounds big .....
