32 entries so far....c'mon, that's pretty good odds. There's no catch to the comp - I'm encouraging everyone to have a look around the new site -
check out the new Gallery feature and Blogs and hopefully say hi and join in, but you're under no obligation to do so. Just post in the NS3 comp
thread and you're in the draw.bobalooie57 - 12-6-2015 at 04:19 AM
Hey John, don't push too hard, I like those odds! But seriously, folks, this is your chance to find out how awesome those NASA wings are! It doesn't
cost anything to become a member down there at Extreme kites, and there is a whole bunch of new kite pron that hasn't been seen here!Randy - 12-6-2015 at 04:53 AM
Yeah - 32 to 1 is more than enough odds. :Dbobalooie57 - 13-6-2015 at 07:09 PM
Odds have gone up, 58-1! It seems like there ought to be 100 entries by now. Get in the contest!cheezycheese - 16-6-2015 at 09:29 AM
John, I tried to register on extremekites. I am still awaiting the confirmation email. How long does this usually take..? John Holgate - 16-6-2015 at 02:40 PM

Should have been pretty instant. I can see on the members list that it is still waiting for a response to the email, so I think I've bypassed that
and approved you. So you should be right to log in - if not let me know. Use my email: jhn.holgate@gmail.com that way I'll pick it up during work
and can pass on a message to the tech guru!
edit: also check your spam folder in case it ended up in Spam.cheezycheese - 16-6-2015 at 03:18 PM
^^^ thanks John !! Good to go... John Holgate - 17-6-2015 at 03:00 AM
Ooops, big network crash at the moment with I'm told over 4000 sites down including XK. Network engineers trying to fix it. Must be a doozy!
Edit: looks like they've got it sorted.John Holgate - 24-6-2015 at 03:10 AM
Comp will close on July 9th at 8pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (Melbourne time).
Winner will be announced July 10th at 8pm AEST.

Congratulations.
I hope Ausie influences keeps the box from becoming Ace Venturas delivery service. Jahaha.
Have a good time flying this kite. I think design wise its a great looking kite.
Here is one to you...cheers.Windstruck - 10-7-2015 at 04:33 AM
Super thanks 3shot and Devoted! Too cool. Windstruck - 10-7-2015 at 06:02 AM
Devoted - in a seperate email correspondence to Steffan Born about the condition of my package I jokingly accused the German Woman's national soccer
team of having taken out their frustration on it of loosing to the U.S. woman in the just-played WC. He played right along! :Dsoliver - 10-7-2015 at 06:38 AM
WUHOO!!! Congrats Steve... those last moments were indeed filled with antici.......... pation Windstruck - 10-7-2015 at 06:45 AM
Be on the lookout soon for my (likely) sale of my never-flown NS3 2.5M. Pretty close to this super-cool 3.2. ssayre - 10-7-2015 at 07:05 AM

I'm not sure I would sell the 2.5 if I were you. It looks like it's your highest wind kite. It would be just right when fall winds are around 25ish.
The 3.2 may well be too powered in the upper 20's. You can tell a big difference with small increments of size on smallish kites in big wind. 3shot - 10-7-2015 at 07:42 AM
Yes. Keep it Steve. You are gonna wish you had it on those 20ish wind days like Sean said. I know.... I have one..Windstruck - 10-7-2015 at 11:41 AM
Jason and Sean - you guys talked me into it... I'll keep my 2.5M NS3!
The winds have been so darn light for what seems like forever that I was having a hard time thinking that there was ever going to be enough wind where
I kite to overpower the 3.2. It makes complete sense what you are saying now that I stopped and thought about relative versus absolute size
differences. Strictly by the numbers, the 3.2 will be 28% larger than the 2.5. Up at the higher range of FB kite sizes that's numerically equivalent
to going from a 9M nearly up to a 12M!
Done - they're all staying in the quiver!soliver - 10-7-2015 at 12:09 PM
Who said you had to sell it... if you GIVE it to me, thats technically not SELLING it... I'll U2U my address to you Windstruck - 10-7-2015 at 12:24 PM
Spencer - feel free to fire away with your address via U2U. There are a whole mess of things in my garage for which my wife would be overjoyed for me
to send you (heck, send anybody)... :saint:skimtwashington - 10-7-2015 at 01:24 PM
Congrats to the winner, Steve..and to all us losers:

Around 20knots I'm starting to feel a little too powered with the 3.2m - then the 2.5m is perfect! The reason I got my first 3.2m is that I always
felt there was just too much of a gap between the 2.5m and the 4m.
Plus you can hand the 2.5m to anyone to fly in more moderate conditions without scaring them too much!
1oldkid - 11-7-2015 at 06:19 AM
Way to go Steve!
Enjoy your new kite! :DWindstruck - 11-7-2015 at 09:01 AM
Thanks 1 old (but fun lovin) kid! That was a truly unexpected but nonetheless delightful turn in my life. :DWindstruck - 18-7-2015 at 07:29 PM
I got my kite in the post today! The box was in great shape (unlike the last international shipment!). The kite was incredibly nice, in the fine
quality and style that we've become accustomed to with all Born-Kites. Extremely thankful to John Holgate and Steffen Born for their generosity.
Now I just need enough wind to fly the bugger!!!! :singing:
I fashioned the bar into a "street kite" setup without the chicken loop (I've already got one of those). I've got some 5m lines on order from Big
Mike, with the plan being to rig up a short line street setup with my smaller NS3s and try some buggying on pavement in parking lots near home.
Should be a fun new skill to develop!ssayre - 18-7-2015 at 07:33 PM
Holy born kite sweetness. I'm jealous Steve. 3shot - 18-7-2015 at 07:38 PM
I LOVE that steer hide rug Steve!!!!!!!
Oh...... The Nasa Star is pretty cool too Windstruck - 18-7-2015 at 07:47 PM
Jason - much obliged! Funny that you mention the rug. I took the pictures on it on purpose thinking it was a cool background for the kite. Glad you
appreciated my efforts! soliver - 19-7-2015 at 05:50 AM
Awesomeness Steve... enjoy the winnings!
I'm looking forward to videos from our PKF Nasa Star Division of the JWC this coming fall.... remember I am self appointed president of the Janky Wind
Club and may have to recall your t-shirts and name tags if you do not submit
I will try my best to qualify for the Janky Wind Club. I've got the local wind conditions going for me!!! :moon:

Spencer means it Steve!! I'm already on the poo list for not getting my JIBE video together yet. I've been sent a notice of my JWC card being revoked
in the near future.....Windstruck - 19-7-2015 at 03:38 PM
