Somebody make it stop!

djsiryn - 21-6-2015 at 03:34 PM

Living in Texas right now is not good for kiting. The rain will not stop! All I can do is watch videos of other people having nice weather and flying. We had 2 good weeks of sun after all the rain we had for about 5 months straight and now it has started all up again. Rain for at least the next 2 to 3 weeks is what the forecast is predicting here. I can't even get out to mountain bike due to all the flooding. Whoever is doing their rain dance...please stop now. I'm starting to think that this is the "Another day" That people ask for when they say "Rain Rain go way, coma again ANOTHER day". Rant over... Just frustrated. LOL!

Feel your pain djsiryn! :o

Nothing quite like having your party dress all set to go and the band just won't play! Chin up; you'll be back in drought conditions before you know it.:bird:

Imagine having weeks above 110!

BeamerBob - that's just sick. I was in Phoenix last week in those kind of temps. When I was getting off the plane somebody on the flight got met by someone who said "Welcome to Hell; we've been expecting you!"

Last year was bad. No rain at all, and we had almost our entire summer with temps at 108 to 114 and no wind. Plus being fairly close to the coast we also had 90 to 100 percent humidity to boot. It was miserable but I still would take that right now over being flooded out for months on end. Having a Jeep Wrangler with vinyl seats was no fun at all last year. LOL! Needed a spatula and cooking spray just to get out of it.... MMMM... Whats that smell... smells like bacon... OH crap! that's me. LMAO!

The people in Florida are still on the raindance for Texas.

Get your water kite out and a pair of water skies. 3

Dancing like crazy..... If I lived in Cocoa I could get a session in everyday. I have to drive 45 min so it limits me to three a week..... 9 hrs a week isn't bad!

We FINALLY caught a break! Sunny skies... hot and humid as hell, but I finally got to get a jumping session in today. Too gusty to ride my land board but fun nonetheless. Took out my new (new to me) 13m Bularoo with 10 to 15 mph wind (that's really high winds for around here). I have to say that I am in love with this kite. One of my most stable kites so far. Handles the inland Texas gusty winds very well and it lifts very well. Not near as violent a lift as my 14m Vegas. Hoping the rest of the summer is just as good....... Fingers crossed.:D
