PL Cross-over bar is basically the same as the Ozone turbo bar, not sure if the Turbo is still available.
The Cross-over bar (and Turbo) do give fixed bridle kites 'sort of' a depower feel, but it's not 'real' depower, these bars allow you to change the
angle of attack which results in more or less power out of the wing and adds a bit to the windrange you can fly your kite in, but it is in no way
comparable to a depower kite.
Depowers are always bigger for the same winds as a FB, and they're generally (a lot) more expensive
If you hooked in your handles on your harness and it was still hard on the arms and difficult to control the kite... Sounds wrong.

Note; harness line is connected to the top of the handles.
Also, the length of the strop/harnessline makes a difference, we sell them in various lengths.
But it's cheaper to get a strong piece of rope from any watersports store and use that to determine your preffered length / what works for you.
