Someone I ride with has an older model Flexifoil buggy with the 5 spoke wheels. I think they were imprinted with "MJ Plastics" made in Denmark.
One of his wheels squeaks or almost has a clicking sound as it spins.
It really sounds like the wheel moving side to side on the bearing shells. It's not a sound emitted from the internal ball bearings. The bearings
spin very nicely.
Has anyone heard this sound before? Any fix for it short of replacing the wheel?

It could be mounted loosely enough that the spacer inside is tumbling on the axle bolt.
The holes that the bearings fit into could be enlarged from heat or the axle bolt not being tight enough.
The axle bolt could've been overtightened at some point and mushroomed (shortened) the bearing spacer.
Or some combination of these three.

I'm with Bob with my suspicion. First thing I thought of was the bearing spacer being somehow deformed or even the wrong size in there somehow.

I'm with Bob on this one .

Bob's second point is my issue. The hole the bearing sits in has enlarged. Everything seems fine until I load it.
