i have been building rc land sailers for years.
as a matter fact i got one now on my work bench that i`m working on.
i made all diff sizes from a small 12 inch model up to a 6ft model.
they are alot of fun.
i think im going to buy this onebugymangp - 2-9-2015 at 12:44 PM
i just went to order it and its 50$ for shipping.
no way i`m paying 50$ when its only costs 108$
but it does look like its a nice oneflyguy0101 - 2-9-2015 at 07:11 PM
GP. Check it put in the us warehouse I picked up for 95 plus 12 for shipping. But I got the pnp since I will use one of my current radios
Scott
Ps hopefully I will have it before wwbPHREERIDER - 3-9-2015 at 06:22 AM
loving that! RC paraglider (powered as well) look fun for in the wind
that sailor looks great , no motor ! flyguy0101 - 3-9-2015 at 06:45 AM
Hey guys- I did not realize that I have spent tooo much money at hobbyking that I now get a discounted price that I can share send me your email
address via u2u and I will send you a special buddy code for you to order from. I think the ready to run version out of the US would be $110 instead
of the $121 so after fed ex shipping it would work out to about free shipping- its only a few bucks but maybe if we have a few at WWB we could do some
night time road racing
Scott
To Bec: I hope you will still be my friend:DPHREERIDER - 3-9-2015 at 08:02 AM
HK has mountain of great stuff, always had trouble with their retail process, "handling shipping " never had any trouble with the items . just
everything in between.
Scott maybe if had hung on to get rated with them and get status i would use them more.
old school TOWER /great planes habits here, plus large scale. cool man thanks for the tip flyguy0101 - 3-9-2015 at 08:23 AM
Phree- could not agree more- I am always questioning if the order went through and wonder when it will get here- best luck has been when I order
direct from china and ship dhl express (yup you pay a pretty penny on shipping especially if big box) but for smaller stuff like escs and motors have
had it delivered form hong kong in 3 days kinda reasonably. I like Tower also definetly a more "refined" product most of the timePHREERIDER - 3-9-2015 at 08:40 AM
glad isn't me then, a bit of a reclusive hobbyist , so i'm not "at the field" chitty chatting.
TOWER is the bench mark for me and RCPLANET has been good as well. but theres a local shop i support in my travels about, and it feels way better
in general. esp. for the last bit of nitro fever situations i find myself in sometime, but 2 stroke stuff, lipo has all but kill that flyguy0101 - 3-9-2015 at 08:49 AM
i think I figure it out for any interested- seems if you log in and buy it under this code its a better price for everyone- somebody try it and see if
it works- I just ordered another for BEC so cant try it there
Phree- I dream about a local shop here but Andrew has been building a little side business designing and building fpv quads for folks and reality is
we buy US when we can but sometimes its worth the overseas headaches. I think he has built and sold 10 custom fpv racing quads so far PHREERIDER - 3-9-2015 at 09:12 AM
i can see pre-build quad, esp. with the lowbuck FPV setup. great little setup he has there! BEC - 3-9-2015 at 04:16 PM
Yeah baby....:frog: I have wanted one of these for years but I don't make them and can't justify the price for something that I know at some point
will just be sitting in a closet...but for this deal I can't wait to hang with my buddy (and others) and make a couple runs down the road and across
the street.
Sun, sand and flying on the beach....what could be better
ok i was able to order it from the us warehouse.
lets hope we get them before wwbb.
anybody want to race?flyguy0101 - 4-9-2015 at 06:41 AM
GP- you should get it before- mine and BEcs shipped yesterday and I should have them on Wednesday- let the races begin.
Scottbugymangp - 4-9-2015 at 07:57 AM
hey scott -sounds good.
lets start thinking about how we are going to race.
i`m thinking if those tennis courts arent being used
next to the hotel they would be ideal for a smooth clean surface.
maybe on the hard packed part of the beach but i won`t want to get in the way of people buggying and running over
our sailers or they ending up in the water.bugymangp - 11-9-2015 at 11:04 AM
i got my sailer
after opening the box and putting it together
i changed a few things to how the sail is mounted to the spars.
the rubber band had to go i used bungie cord.
and few other small items.
if the weather holds out this weekend i`ll take it out.
all and all so far i like it. hope it goes as good as its looks.BEC - 11-9-2015 at 03:44 PM

Make sure you bring us all the things we need to upgrade ours...I can't wait to hang and to give these things a try....Scott and I must have put 100
tickets in for that one you made at the fund raiser... see you soon and have a
great weekend. Chook - 11-9-2015 at 07:00 PM
I bought a "Bat 1" when they were first released from HobbyKing and they sail really well.
Don't hold back they are a lot of fun.
PS; Mine cost $43.00 postage to Regional Western Australia. flyguy0101 - 12-9-2015 at 11:14 AM
GP- looking forward to seeing your little changes. I agree overall seemed like a decent little kit, hoping to try mine this weekend as wellbugymangp - 13-9-2015 at 01:48 PM
I took my sailer out today
Sails pretty good it tipped over a few times
But the wind was junk it needs about 10 mph
I took some pictures of the things I did
I can send them thru my phone for anybody who
Wants them one big thing I did was reroute the sail
Line out the back BEC - 14-9-2015 at 11:05 AM

I would love to see pictures of the upgrades bclarke@icondesignllc.com and/or just some suggestions when I'm standing right in front of you....If
they can be made at night with minimal tools then I'll bring them...Just looking forward to giving it a try...I've always wanted one of these and a RC
sailboat....I don't have either...but I have a happy wife...and two dimes to rub together in my pocket bugymangp - 14-9-2015 at 11:31 AM
I sent you the pictures BEC - 14-9-2015 at 12:07 PM
Thanks....we need to get some very small LED lights for night time racing...only if the wind isn't strong enough for us to go for a real beach
ride....I'll never forget that memory riding at night with snowspider and Flyguy0101...there were some others that night but I almost didn't crash
into them, so names have slipped my memory...haha BEC - 14-9-2015 at 12:36 PM
I have not received yet....make sure you put an "E" at the end of CLARKE or it will never arrive...thanks again. bugymangp - 14-9-2015 at 12:55 PM
ok i tried again.
you got one hard e mail address to type LOLflyguy0101 - 14-9-2015 at 02:03 PM
GP- played with mine this weekend as well in crap wind and it likes to flip over but once I got the hang of it, was fun I am thinking of putting some
old roller blade wheels on it for a little extra weight. also send me a pic of the line coming out the back- would definetly yield more sail authority
send it to my gmail its my username
thanks
sbugymangp - 14-9-2015 at 04:46 PM
I could t send pictures thur Gmail they said undelliverableBEC - 15-9-2015 at 03:22 AM
I got mine.....thanks....I can try to send them to FlyGuy0101 today at work....WELDNGOD - 16-10-2015 at 08:08 PM
I just got mine today.... fast_monte - 3-11-2015 at 02:44 PM
I have roller blade wheels, old radio systems, and carbon fiber arrow shafts. It would not take too much to make one on a larger scale. bugymangp - 3-11-2015 at 02:57 PM
I have a sailer that I made using 1 1/2 inch pvc pipe
With the radio gear stuffed inside
