Unbelievable guts and confidence in what he's doing.

Confidence in spades. His posture going down is amazing. Total commitment. I saw this on my local news this morning and instantly wondered about the bearings in those wheels. Then I found the vid. Dude owns a bearing company. How funny is that..?

Windstruck - 9-9-2015 at 11:40 AM

OK Cheezy, that guy has some STONES! :o. Surprised he could fit 'me in those pants....

I loved his "air brakes" move (suddenly standing upright) at about the 1 and 2 minute marks. That is likely a lot harder than it may look. I used to downhill ski race and hitting the air brakes like that on skis at warp speed can be a little risky even though you are held onto your skis with bindings!

I wonder what he had on his hands. Sparks flew when he put his hand down.

The slide at the end to cut speed before the turn was just totally out of bounds!

The wife has venom wheels and bearings on her road skates.
Can't help but think of what could have gone wrong and what kind of flowers he liked.:o

Windstruck - 9-9-2015 at 12:09 PM

What could have gone wrong? Didn't that bike helmet he was wearing cast a protective force field over his entire body? Oh yeah, he had gloves too.

bugymangp - 9-9-2015 at 12:13 PM

I'll stick with my buggy thank you very much

They are called pucks, they help when you need to put your hands down. And that slide is how you scrub speed in a hurry. You can do the same on atb on sand.

soliver - 9-9-2015 at 04:08 PM

um... yea... whoa :o

abkayak - 9-9-2015 at 04:35 PM

And keep the meat on your palms

skimtwashington - 9-9-2015 at 06:28 PM

At least he IS wearing a helmet.....but no other padding or BODY SKID protection.

A wipe out at 70mph...serious injury likely.

This would be fairly classified as EXTREME.

Another low pants /boxer underwear fashion exposure. Why don't these kids just wear their boxers over their pants:rolleyes:

PHREERIDER - 9-9-2015 at 06:57 PM

YEAH MAN! guy with the helmet cam hanging in there!

ssayre - 9-9-2015 at 06:58 PM

If you go that fast down a hill your allowed to wear your boxers however you want.

PHREERIDER - 9-9-2015 at 07:04 PM

had to watch again ! MAN I WANT THOSE WHEELS!

Always have mixed feelings about runs on public roads.

Pucks generally scrub enough speed for turns and transitions.... not sure they are enough for emergency braking.

It's worth noting that Danny Strasser wears a MC helmet and full leathers (most likely with armor inserts).... and what looks like aux. knee/shin guards.

I think "Skateboard Fails" actually qualifies as a YouTube category.

ROLLERMAN!!!!

I actually live about 10 minutes drive from the sliding park of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. Even with that level of convenience I just don't see myself repeating any of these stunts in the remainder of my lifetime. :D

B-Roc - 10-9-2015 at 09:26 AM

This one is one of my favs. The confidence displayed after the crash is impressive and I love his always on the edge style and the fact that he throws standies at speed.

This one is a cowtastrophe

It always surprises me how some of the more serious dh riders don't pad up beyond a helmet. The pavement hurts at 5mph. When pushing 40 there won't be much left of the palms elbows or knees. I pad up all the time and only go straight long enough to throw a nice slide. Jealous of them, I guess, but I like my teeth, knees and elbows.

This guy is the phiz-schnizzle though when it comes to grinding.

PHREERIDER - 10-9-2015 at 09:39 AM

That's sweet riding for sure . The limits they display are impressive. They all seem proportioned well for longboard size. The head is very close to board and total mass must match board and wheel grip and general setup. Amazing

Chrisz - 10-9-2015 at 06:13 PM

ok wow! that is nuts. Anyone else find them selves leaning on the corners while watching the video?

PHREERIDER - 10-9-2015 at 06:28 PM

Broc good one!

TEDWESLEY - 12-9-2015 at 08:26 AM

Probably has the plastic surgeon's number on his cell phone...
