I reply here to PM:

Quad line Strattas and similar kites will fly, but they require a lot of attention and control. They collapse easily if you give to much slack or tension on certain lines. Flying them on longer lines even more difficult. Since all four lines pull almost equally, bigger kites can't be controlled with quad handles. It is just to tiring for your wrist.
I found that two-line versions are more stable and they collapse only in light winds.

ps.: I have written an article about my slightly modified version of Stratta. It is hungarian... but I have made a plan and an illustration.

Stratta Bache is named after his inventor, Richard Stratta. Stratta Bache means something like " Stratta's tarp". He wanted to introduce power kiting to people, but without significant expenses. Later Michel Trouillet developed this kite further.
