Good Job!

Is it possible the wind was a bit stronger up high ?

smiler8401 - 14-10-2015 at 08:03 AM

yeah ...i wont object. , maybe it bit over 4 knot up high .
but after I get some speed , the best position is at 9/3 o'clock ...you could see it just surge forward .

That's a nice video smiler and a nice looking park for riding. I'm a personal huge fan of the Flysurfer 12m P2 for low wind days. I have nicknamed my 12m kite "Session Saver". As a single skin you can get it up in the air with just a puff of wind. 4 knots of wind in the air is plenty to control it and get some good motive power out of it. I'm over 200 lbs and ride a BigFoot buggy in grass and pull this off. I suspect a lighter person on a board could do this in 3 knots of air wind.

I shot the video below in very low winds. You will see me coming to a stop or just crawling along at several points with the kite still behaving. Those times were certainly in wind as light as we are discussing.

BTW, I like the NPW in your Avatar pic. Custom job?

Dear steve ..
The park is a local soccer/rugby field , so I have to share it with the local soccer tournament that were held every weekend .
which they look like no bother me to rolling along side .

either me watching their game due to no wind or .. they peering me when I get a nice ride lol ...

the video you share is such a nice ride on buggy with a amazing kite .
I could see why you call it a session saver .
It stay floating & no drop from the sky .

I did have some flying hour in a friend buggy , but don't have urgency attempt to get a buggy due to limited budget and I am more fascinating toward landboarding and kiteboarding .

Am jealous of you in a shot time you already have almost full quiver of nasa star/long star & peak .
but I being sold when I enter this kiting world that the ultimate low wind kite is FS speed DLX 19m and above and keep dreaming to get one until now ..

somehow ,I did get this Ozone manta as folks say it a low wind machine a cheaper option , then a Venom 16m , then a LEI ....venturing into water

Right now , I not so sure what is next ...either a buggy , a FS S3 DLX or even a kiteboard so you see it a lot of thinking with no budget ..

All my NPW is custom job , I make it myself ...using the kiteplan . and the NPW21 plan is from BigE size/bridling calculation .

I am learning landboarding with it before I buy the Manta/Venom then I discover the amazing depower able and hook-in..ever since it were in a bag lol .

Below is picture I atb at the local beach with it .

Nice pic! Cool to see somebody from a completely different part of the world and culture getting into the same stuff I love. Good stuff. Good luck on continuing to grow and refine your quiver; it's an evolving process as you well know. Cool that you've constructed your own NPWs!

smiler, that's a cool picture on the beach with npw. nice work on building your own.
