I'm new to traction kiting and I've already been piling up a collection of (mostly FB kites. I toasted one set of lines by running over them with my
buggy. I'm not nearly ready to make my own lines. Can you guys recommend a vendor
for replacement lines?

Most manufacturers have sets of lines offered for their kites. I think Chris (feyd) does lines sets too at Hardwaterkiter. Might want to measure your
current line set so you know what length to buy. Also recommend trimming the rest of your lines to match the broken line and you'll have a "short"
line set (assuming they're still in alright shape).
Kite repair shops can also do the trick, don't know if you have one local, but they could probably set you up with new lines as well as stitch new
attachments on your short line set. There's a bunch in Hood River.
Also Gorge Performance, in Portland probably has some in stock, i'd call before you go.
Good to see another PNW flyer!

Talk to Daniel at Shanti Kites. Tell him EXACTLY what you want, and he will set you up.
One of 2 people I trust for line material and line sets, they will be what you ordered. Not like the other guys who say one thing and sell you
something else.
I trust Daniel for all my line material.

MF, Good input. I told you when I was buying your kites I was thinking about trying flying with some shorter lines. I didn't think of using the old
broken lines...duh. I'll have to see if they are salvageable.
BK, Thanks for the recommendation!

Oh ha-ha, Pat! I didn't realize this was you till just now

I have some line sets listed here...
http://www.powerkiteforum.com/viewthread.php?tid=31012
The prices listed are approximate retail, but contact me off-line and they will be significantly less, including priority mail shipping in the US

I'd also like to put and addendum on my earlier comment... Make sure the lines are still viable before turning them into short lines. If they broke
once (I don't know the circumstances) they make already be worn to a point where it's not wise to continue to use them. Better to be safe then to be
death looping down a beach!
