The Extreme Kites crew on our annual pilgrimage to Sandy Point, Victoria, Aus during the Melbourne Cup weekend. Sunday and Monday turned on some nice 13 - 18 knot winds directly on shore for us to play with. Much fun was had.

Awesome, John... loved the shot at the end. Was that your KAP rig shooting the Aerials?

John - great vid bud! Beautiful beach as mentioned. Looks like a great gang. Thanks for the share!

Thanks guys. Spencer - yes, that was my kap rig attached to the back axle of the buggy although the ultrafoil did add a lot of drag. Might have to try a small delta.

 great video. I noticed you were harnessed early in the video then there was a good shot of your hotwire in action later in the video. My first set up was very similar to yours which I liked, but my new set up with 2 strap set up keeps the tow point closer to my body which I like better.

Had the hotwire going from time to time and it worked really well except for being a little clunky where the 3 D rings meet - sometimes they get a little twisted if I don't connect them up just so, and then there's the occasional 'clunS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K- when I change direction and the rings settle into a new position. 2 rings would definitely be less complex - I'll have to give it whirl.

Yeah john, I've got mine set up so they really don't even touch. Also, since they run straight across, there is less "slop" in the system and they remain in place better than when I had 2 running at an angle behind me and the third to the front. It seems to keep the whole mess nicely centered at all times.

I will still use my harness if I'm trying to capture different camera angles so I can get up, land the kite, mess with camera, etc..
