Oldest by model or manufacture date? My oldest model of kite is nasa star 2. Oldest by manufactured date would be the peaks. my oldest I've ever
owned would probably be the blade III's unless my old venom II was older?Windstruck - 10-11-2015 at 03:36 PM
Nothing vintage in my quiver I'm afraid. I had some older Tensors but sold them down river when I got a hair up my nose to go single-skinned. Now
Peak-2s, NASA STAR 3s and LongStars fill my quiver and they are all (still) the most recent models available. I own some nice old skis, does that
count? Didn't think so... bigkid - 10-11-2015 at 03:42 PM
I have a Hi-Flyer that's florescence pink that I bought in 1969. It's in a tube where it's been for over 30 years.Dayhiker - 10-11-2015 at 05:13 PM
Mid-eighties two line dualie, Premier Aerosport 3/4 sail (72") with Sky Claws & 150' x 200# Skybond lines. First day we flew it we had a hard
time launching in 25+ winds out on the soft sands of OBX. We were scudding at least 15' on each pass through the zone. We did not know we weren't
supposed to fly this kite in high wind. Thought more was better..... It is a very tough kite. Still fly it at least once a year, with a big smile
& a tear in the corner of my eye. SHBKF

I share no such sentimental value with my kites. The second I want another more than the one or ones I have, they GO. After selling a couple the flood
gates opened. I like what I have for now. :D
I guess that makes me a kite whorabkayak - 10-11-2015 at 07:09 PM
I like the old stuff...wasn't there for the beginning so trying to rid myself of that guilt.
My Cquads are old, fickle and super cool

All my gear is old skool.
Peel, C-quads and S, T and F-arc are the oldest. Phantom is the oldie that sees regular rotation. Peel was signed by PL himself and I have only flown
it once. Dayhiker - 10-11-2015 at 07:48 PM
How about old buggies?

Peter Lynn Synergy 15.
My only kite and i am very happy with this kite.
My Trampa board is old though. That one is about 10 years old. Original tires and trucks still working well after really a lot of riding. Whether a
smooth beach, or rough farmers land.volock - 11-11-2015 at 08:07 PM
My first kite, an HQ Beamer II 3.6, vintage summer 2005, that I bought from IntoTheWind on a lark before heading to visit my grandparents out in
Nantucket. I think my Peter Lynn Venom II is close but not quite as old. I still pull that kite out to teach on or for static fun. If only it behaved
better for the buggy, it'd get regular flight time. Snow/Mountainboard it does well for people starting out on.
EDIT: Make that a no name parafoil stunt kite... well faded name and model to oblivion, from when I was about 8 years old, that measure 3/4 of a meter
if, and has no pull without 35mph winds, not sure how they managed that. And a matching single line version of it. They're faded but go backpacking
with me, or for the occasional kid who's sad when they can't fly my big kites.canuck - 12-11-2015 at 08:16 PM
I think my quiver of Quadrifoil KiteSurfers vintage 2000 are the oldest I have. Still in great shape and the XXL and XXXL get used regularly.mainekite2 - 13-11-2015 at 06:53 AM

I didn't know that the Peel or " the grandfather of power kites " was from 91 !
It looks like the kitesurfer XL came out mid 90's? rectifier - 16-11-2015 at 01:27 PM
My 1m NPW9b, built it when I was 15 and kiting was brand new in my area. That was 15 years ago... half my life!
It's a crappy kite made of heavy fabric and bridled with stretchy line, doesn't build enough pull to do anything and is a poor flyer for a trainer.
But I just can't throw it out.
I fly it maybe once a year or so for old times sake. Listed in my quiver "just because"stephdip - 18-11-2015 at 10:26 AM
my oldest is my XM competition Quadrifoil in mango colour and it's still like
new..
sweet kite that i often use to teach/test fly friends and newbies.. other than that one
it's a costom made delta stunt kite, made by Eric Brakenbury here in Ottawa, that's like new too haven't flown it in hell 5-6 years at least..bigkid - 18-11-2015 at 02:20 PM

No Jeff, my kites aren't from the 70's. Although I am into the 70's.
My first traction kite was bought in October 1993, a Force10 Foil 4.4m. Haven't flown it in 15 years. After that were Peels, Quadrifoils, QuadTrac's,
Sky Tigers, NGens and C-Quads. Now mostly flying Reactor II's.
Next you'll pick on my choice of buggies, the original P/L Comp buggy.
I guess I'm kind of like Glenn Pedro, ride and fly what I like.
I'm not trying to set any speed records, just enjoying the ride. :D
Thought I'd share this with you guys. Some friends from New Mexico came out to the beach for a day of fun. https://youtu.be/UgwlB8Dz9b8ssayre - 18-11-2015 at 04:44 PM

A little single line shark kite my parents got when i was like 2. We had to replace a spar but it still flies like a champ.flyguy0101 - 3-12-2015 at 06:32 AM
I still have the kite that started it all for me- a peter powell two line diamond stunt kite with a 50' tail. I got it in 1982 cost me $50.00. So
glad the only inflation in the kite world has been with a pump:D otherwise my second oldest that I still have venom 2 19m would have cost me a whole
lot more.PHREERIDER - 3-12-2015 at 07:13 AM

Lets see, I have a Skynasaur, an 8 stack of Hawiian's, some NSR's, couple of Ted's foils, Peel, Quadrafoil, SkyTiger hi40 and hi80 - these are
probably my oldest.djsiryn - 6-12-2015 at 06:01 PM
My oldest kites are a 1993 Rev 1, a 1994 Chicago Fire Griffin, 1995 Quadtrac and a 1993 Hawaiian team kite.... Speaking of those, they have not been
flown in ages. Maybe I should bring them out sometime. :Dalasdair macleod - 13-12-2015 at 07:10 AM
Cheer's guy's Sorry I haven't comment been to busy with work

Wow Morrie Williams I hope that if I reach 70 that I can still go out with a kite.
