Hello all,
I'm looking to get back into kiting and am bringing my 7 year old with me. We're looking for a kite that he can grow into. Also looking for something for myself as well. Open to options. When I left several years ago I sold all my kites on this forum. Let me know what you have.

Recreational? Traction? Coastal or inland wind?

woodneers - 11-11-2015 at 12:09 PM

Sorry forgot to add that. We live in Kansas it's flat. For now I'd like to see him in a small kite that won't rip him into the clouds. Sumthin like the profoil 1.5 I wish I never sold. I have a feeling there will be a buggy in our future though. For me anything really, I don't need anything fancy. Not into jumping or anything. I don't mind getting pulled around a little though. Are the profoils still available. I remember there was talk about them going under our something years ago.
Inland/ recreationalish!

That soulfly is a great starter kite and I use mine as a storm kite. They are a really tough kite.

From what I have been told by a bunch of guys in your neck of the world the buster is one of the best gust, lumpy wind kites around.

I used to have a 5.5 buster and enjoyed it. Is the soulfly complete rtf?

bigkid - 11-11-2015 at 01:44 PM

If RTF means take it out of the bag, unwind the lines from the handles, give it a little shake and the kites in the air? Then yes.

When Jeff says ready to fly.... It's a go ,right outta the bag! And dollar for dollar ,you will not find a better deal on an entry level 4-line kite that has an advanced flier use as a high wind kite. I live on the mid - atlantic coast ,and mostly fly in nor'easters and ahead of tropical systems. The kites I use and trust, are the small Buster soulflys. I fly PKD exclusively,by choice.
