I have been given a kite by a friend to sell for him. He is leaving the sport and has decided to sell his stuff.
At this moment I am only aware of some PKD handles and 1 kite for now.
The kite is a 15.4m Combat which is brand new, never flown. I do not know the color of the kite as it has not arrived here yet. The kite normally
sells for over 2 grand new and the used kites go for $700 to $1200.
He is asking $700 for the kite. If you want it RTF add another $100.
I am putting this up for sale because I really don't need it myself, but if it's solid black, I might just have to add it to my collection of awesome
kites.
Not sure as to the best offer idea, as I can always ask him.WELDNGOD - 11-11-2015 at 01:45 PM
Go big or go home, right?
When your not flying the kite you can use it to cover your truck with the doors open.WELDNGOD - 11-11-2015 at 02:13 PM
Jeff, I would so be on this .... But, my bestest lil buddy needs some dental work ASAP. That $700 could buy her 4 more years with us on this side of
the dirt,so I gotta pass. bigkid - 12-11-2015 at 02:46 PM
WG, better to take care of those you love before you play.
I cant believe nobody has anything to say about this kite. Not even an offer?
Guess the huge ball thing scared off all the big boys.:o Sorry, was thinking about a video some years back about a guy in Europe talking about having
big balls to fly a 11m kite, it was rather entertaining....
This is a big kite but not beyond anyone's ability if you use your head. Granted smooth winds would help the learning curve as would short lines (12m
to 20m). Most of the buggy racers use short lines on most of the kites they run.
You can buggy with this kite in as little as 3mph up to 7mph. I have buggied with a 13m in 20mph winds and was on the edge of having a blast to total
wipe out, needless to say I am still here so the wipe out didnt happen.
At this point I am going to be a bit of a jerk and brutally honest. If you have a buggy that is NOT tuned, or you have not experienced the effects of
being over powered to the point of being dragged sideways in the buggy till you powered through it, THIS KITE IS NOT FOR YOU. You havnt the buggy or
the skills to own it. This kite likes to be flown to its limit and not something to play with to impress others.
If you want to expand your abilities and develop your skills, this is a great kite to help with that.
In higher winds this would be a handful and would defiantly increase the pucker effect, but it is still a kite. Handles, no bar for this kite, a
harness is a must, and be ready to fly it. As with any kite, IMOH, you need to fly it not let the kite fly you. Pansh sells all their kites as a toy,
this ain't no toy, its a kite.WELDNGOD - 12-11-2015 at 06:34 PM
Jeff, I know what it is . You posted "huge" balls. In that video it was "hooj" balls. LOL And yeah, that thing has got to be a low end brute.BeamerBob - 13-11-2015 at 07:29 AM
I ain't skeered, but have my new to me 14m Yak GT. I'm not sure the 15.4m would offer a great deal more riding than the 14 does. Also, I got it for
$300. I'm not sure it had ever been flown when I got it.
This would be a great day saver for someone that gets to ride on a beach.lunchbox - 13-11-2015 at 08:02 PM
Geez, BB, you got the deal of the century! I got the original Yakuza 1 10m and really like it.
I also have the 16.1 Vapor which is an absolute beast!
I bet that Combat would be a blast to fly (good price too)...I loved the 6m Combat Pablo sent around a few years ago....what a beautiful kite!bigkid - 16-11-2015 at 05:14 PM
the Combat arrived today. with record rain fall it is not going to let me spread it out to take pictures. As far as I can see it is red with a few
black stripes/cells that are on one wing tip with a white bottom. The kite has a set of large PKD handles and looks like about 20m line set.
Also are a few sets of new PKD handles in small, medium, and large sizes ranging from 25 for the small to 35 for the large.
I will take a picture as soon as the rain lets up.RedSky - 16-11-2015 at 09:45 PM
I can't drive a Ferrari so I'll pass, but to any potential buyer, kite size is relative to wind speed or something along those lines. As said, this
kite would make a great low wind session saver. bigkid - 21-11-2015 at 02:46 PM
The Combat has sold. I think I should have kept it for myself.
The handles are still available for anyone interested.bigkid - 22-12-2015 at 09:31 AM
This is one of those deals that went the wrong way.
This kite is back on the for sale list. The deal fell through and is now up for sale at a reduced price of $500.00 with free shipping.RonH - 22-12-2015 at 07:37 PM
Hey Jeff,
Is it the same (but different kite) as Jimmy's black beast?
Ronbigkid - 22-12-2015 at 08:32 PM
Yes, same beast only red.bigkid - 13-2-2016 at 08:46 AM
Still for sale, at least for the moment. If no interest, it's off to Ebay.Baluk - 13-2-2016 at 04:28 PM
