Flysurfer Sonic FR 18M Brand New

allenpeterson - 14-11-2015 at 07:21 PM

Selling this 18M Flysurfer Sonic which is Brand New (never flown, never taken out of its bag)
If you want to ride super light winds anytime this is the kite to have. It has great low end, really powerful, quick turning, stable and had loads of hang time.
Great kite for foiling, freeriding, snowkiting and landboarding.
This kite is great for travelling since it folds up really tiny.

Kite price: $1,700

Great opportunity for one of the best high performance foil kites out in the market.
Shipping inside the U.S is free.
Retail price of this kite is $2,200 kite only

Where are you located and why are you selling these Sonics?

PHREERIDER - 17-11-2015 at 10:31 AM

NEVER flown, now selling. it seems curious. for an individual for sure. situations happen oh well...not one BUT TWO! curious for sure kinda kills the idea of pics?? esp. without history , 4post and now send me $$$$. just saying

indeed a great kite at an incredible price! it comparatively is less than tubes which are at around $100/meter and this sells at $94/meter

lunchbox - 17-11-2015 at 02:06 PM

^^^^ Like Phree said! Kinda have my doubts as well....

nate76 - 18-11-2015 at 03:47 AM

Ya, I've noticed he's been posting to other forums as well - same MO - brand new profile w/only these kite sale posts

http://nwkite.com/forums/t-37901.html

allenpeterson - 18-11-2015 at 08:32 AM

Guys!!
Why all this hate and doubt??!
I understand there are a bunch of scammers in classifieds and are just looking to rip you off badly.
I bought this quiver at retail price from www.kiteboarding.com since I wanted to take up snowkiting this winter.

Unfortunately, I suffered a knee injury and had an ACL-meniscus surgery which means I will be out from sports around 6 months (what my Doctor recommended me)
So my choices were to keep the kites until I can ride again and let them sit there loosing value meanwhile or get rid of them and when I get well go for the new Sonic model or the new model of R1 which will be out be then; maybe even the Chrono 2.
If anyone is interested or wants to straighten their doubts you can send me a PM or we can chat on the phone.
Indeed, I am new to this Forum and have never used it before. I am not into traction kiting but seems like a really nice part of our sport I may want to dig into in the future.
I thought posting here was a great idea since the Sonics are kites that suit kitesurfing, landkiting and snowkiting.

Oh, and I will add some pictures of the real kites in their bags. ;)

My email is allanpetersonm@gmail.com

ssayre - 18-11-2015 at 09:41 AM

Welcome Allen, hope you heal quickly. Snowkiting is traction kiting as is all kiting IMO. ;)

Thanks mate! Appreciate the warm welcome! :)

IFlyKites - 18-11-2015 at 10:41 PM

Many of us get the wrong impression when a user joins the forum with 4 posts and goes straight to the for sale section and creates several threads of them selling kites.

Anyhow, welcome to PKF Allen! That is unfortunate news about your knee injury and hope you get better. I would be interested in the Sonic but it is over my budget and doesn't really suit the park where I fly. I'm sure though that it will sell quickly for your price. Heard a lot of good about Sonic's.

Cheers,
Ari

allenpeterson - 19-11-2015 at 03:28 PM

Thanks Ari, I really appreciate your words and I'm quickly improving my knees movility and strength. Hope to be out riding again very soon.

I had the opportunity to fly the Sonics becore I bought the quiver from a friend. Really nice kites!

This is for sure a scam I was about to buy and Allen told me that he purchased the kites from Kiteboarding.com so I called there and talked to Brett and I was told that they never sold any kites to an Allen Peterson and never sold a complete 4 kite quiver to any kiter... I then called Flysurfer USA and he confirmed that KB.com had not received these kites and also warned that he had heard of some people being scammed like this.. Flysurfer USA made me a fair deal and I have purchased there before and their service was great.. They also offer the Only Free repair warranty on the sonic kites.. I did pay more then this but the security and service is well worth it....

Before I bought the quiver I flew the kites from my friend. He owns an 11 and an 18.
I wasn't going to buy a quiver without trying the kite out before..

joedy - 20-11-2015 at 02:57 PM

Simple fix.... just post some photos, eh?

(Not the stock ones or the photos floating around the web, mind you.)

Maybe you could even take a photo of the Flysurfer serial number of the kites?

sparkin_larkin - 20-11-2015 at 02:59 PM

It sounds like you bought the kites from Kiteboarding.com but then you say I bought the quiver from a friend. There is only one answer as to where you bought the kites. If you can explain it I will listen. And while you are doing that could you address what Richardw62 said about kiteboarding.com saying that they never sold any kites to an Allen Peterson and never sold a complete 4 kite quiver to any kiter. I have an open mind I will listen.

grigorib - 20-11-2015 at 08:19 PM

Where are kites located?

WELDNGOD - 21-11-2015 at 07:01 AM

in his imagination apparently.

stevecarson - 29-11-2015 at 03:36 PM

Probably a scam..
His story doesn't even make sense like many of you already mentioned.
Anyways, I thought I would take the opportunity talking about Sonics.
I'm selling a 9 an 11 and an 18 they haven't been flown yet
I fly the 15 M and really love it for foiling; very smooth, takes the gusts nicely and keeps me powered in well under 7 knots!
Selling the 9 and 11 because I got a killer deal for a 9 and 11 Chrono2 and since I'm more into freeriding rather than racing, they'll probably hold up longer thanks to the stronger cloth material, thicker and non-strech edelrid bridles and the new leading edge reinforcements which the Chrono 1 didn't have.

Letting them go cheap. PM if you're interested
I have only one bar available, it's the regular infinity 3.0 airstyle NEW as well (Not the race bar)

I will go ahead and make a thread in the for sale section as well

where are you located ?
serial #s may produce results

windrider1 - 29-11-2015 at 06:08 PM

buyer beware these people are running a well organised scam. ill start a new thread on this soon

sparkin_larkin - 29-11-2015 at 07:23 PM

if this guy is not for real he deserves kudos for a cool scam:cool:

stevecarson - 29-11-2015 at 07:46 PM

Like windrider just said. Be careful of possible scams that are going on, there's always fishy classifieds you don't really know if they are real or not. Make sure to ask always for plenty of photos, details and ask specific questions, payment always by paypal!
Just like this guy selling the Sonics, those words didn't make much sense plus he never posted any pics of the kite.

If anyone is interested in one of my kites PM and I can send you any type of shot you ask me for or we can talk on the phone.

Steve, are you going to answer this question? Are you going to start a new post in the for sale section or leave it in this thread?
