Buggies

JimiEAB - 16-11-2015 at 07:57 PM

I was wondering if someone could help me. I would like to either build a buggy from pre-manufactured parts or a buggy complete . I have seen VTT mentioned? I would only need the buggy for Cruising on soft sand . I appreciate any information.

Let us know where you are located. The may be something for sale around you.

If you are new at kite buggy'n, it may be worth dipping a toe before you build a new boat.

Soft sand actually complicates your situation.

You will have to consider wider tires in your build. The front fork in articular.

+ 1 for starting out at Popeye's site.

Knowing where you live may help?

I live in Long Beach NY. I have been bugging on beach a couple of years on a wide axle peter lynn folding buggy ! I want to increase my time hopefully with a big wheel setup. Also I was wondering if anyone had had experience with the sysmic dune buggy? But I am handy and thanks for the popeye site ! I will check it out just wondering if it pays to buy all separates and assemble? Thanks for help !

You would probably pay more to buy parts separate except if you are doing some sort of custom setup for the wheels. It is almost always cheaper to get wheels and tires off of a golf cart or something instead of buying buggy specific wheels. Although your mileage may vary because there isn't much better for a bigfoot setup than some Beach Racers from what I hear.
