Sliding Spreaders

id think this is a good set up for the bug or on skis where all the action is to the sides coming off your hip..anyone riding like this? i know its from the water guys...the few i know who like some air said not so good

I found a long time ago it was an issue that created bruises on each hip. The solution was a hot wire setup. That created other problems...
I then began wearing my seated harness loose as to allow the spreader bar to move left or right without creating the problem of pinching my hips at the side rails. Problem was I had to hold up my harness to keep it from falling down while I walked. Now I wear suspenders with my harness and leave it loose which allows the spreader to float from side to side.

my ozone sb would migrate to the side of pull. I since sold it and have the divine. I find pros and cons to both, but I do miss having my ozone harness.

My solution was the hotwire but launch and land from buggy only is kind of a pita. Aside from that, I love it.

I have been meaning to modify my divine to a slider just to try it out. I'll do that and report back at my next opportunity.

i find im getting torqued hard on the hip when wearing a seat harness or the spreader eventually pulls up or losens up but not in a good way..kinda like a waist harness more even when straight buggin...i feel like i should be bruising but im not...not very comfy though...this dynabar set up just seams to make sense to me...could be wrong but would like to try it

hot wire isnt an option on this one guys...cant mix it up and step on to a board like that

I use a swinging hook and I like it. Though to be honest I never really had much of an issue with regular hooks apart from them eventually cracking due to side loads. Maybe try a slider this season.

I've always wanted to try on as well. There is also a simplified version made by Dakine as well.

I will say my homemade waist harness slides around to direction of pull when I ride toeside and that has made all the difference in riding longboard when hooked in so I'm guessing I would like a slider

at this point i just fig you as a total non-conformist

Paraski Flex(Canada) uses a harness with a sliding hook(panic snap)....that also is a safety release. Can work as first safety release w/ FB or depow.... and even as a 2nd safety release with depow if you hook in with your regular safety release remaining in use( Safety release hooked to panic snap safety release-double safety!).

Free floating slide.... swivel...angle out any direction

Been a while since I used mine, but I can't recall feeling much noticeable loss of control or comfort when switching to center fixed hook.

I also went from bar to FB handles in equipment change up(as kite use changed). Which you use may play a factor in benefit as well as what you ride on....:puzzled:

Vid shows Slider set up as well as safety panic snap:

Humm ! I doubt about the device or slinding hook they use , this is a device to hold caws in their boxes and it won't open Under load. I used it 14 years ago. Unless they have changed the model which I doubt.:

I use the Jaybar Dynabar sliding hook and this is very comfortable.

I'm in good company here. If your land kiting, your non-conformist by default.
