I love the "Speed Bumps" (as I call them)when i'm flying! It feels like shooting a machine gun. Micro bursts? Jankey wind? I am an inland kiter. My
experience has been good wind after this . RedSky - 2-12-2015 at 06:40 AM
Wheres all the landboarders on this?
I can't leave you hanging, so I'll hazard a guess and say either that wheel wobble thingy and/or rough ground.PHREERIDER - 2-12-2015 at 08:46 AM
i am missing something here ,
whats the question? PHREERIDER - 2-12-2015 at 09:29 AM
Personally I'd have to go with jankey wind.
I think a micro burst is a powerful downdraft that can cause a aeroplane to lose altitude.

I was talking about the wind. It's just short fast burst of wind.Usually before i get lit up! It feels like a machine gun in your handles. Just a cool
feeling!PHREERIDER - 2-12-2015 at 10:09 AM
definitely janky! thats anything thats not smooth .
microburst... this would ruin your day!, 15-20 goes nuclear to 75mph suddenly and far bigger and more sustained than just a big gustacampbell - 2-12-2015 at 10:51 AM
My speed bumps are tidal rivlets and alligatorsWindstruck - 2-12-2015 at 11:47 AM
Mine are children, dogs, and an occasional Lacrosse goal.
All time best (worst?) I ever heard about came from Down Under on the XK Forum. Some dude ran over a large patch of Man-O-War on the beach with his
buggy. He was wearing nothing but swim trunks and the shrapnel coming up from his front wheel plastered him.

Lmao! Has anyone ever caught a bird in the cell of a kite? Really this never happened lol.volock - 2-12-2015 at 02:57 PM
Buggy/Snow/Static sure, I don't mind the gusts while in low wind, to help get up to speed...
Any of them on a mountainboard can just be a cluster#@%$#!. Have I mentioned I lack all balance and coordination?rectifier - 2-12-2015 at 03:02 PM
When I was in Calgary, microbursts were common. I was fortunate enough to never experience one while kiting.
They usually came as a result of downbursts where the wind blows at gale force straight down for 1-2 seconds. All regions around the burst experience
wind blowing away from the center. Bow-tied kite would be the best case scenario, I think.
Sounds like some janky wind or perhaps, some sort of partial collapse or flapping of the sail. Doesn't sound like fun to me!
