Are you signed in?

there was a pkf announcement that said they were upgrading or making changes for a couple days and that there could be interruptions. I don't know but that could be the prob

got my symphony 1.8 and just went to try it,wind forecast was 9mph so i thought that would be ideal for first flight.

sadly that 9mph wind kept dropping to 0 wind! kite would be in sky then loose all its shape and just drop! when wind was there and kite kept its shape i did manage to fly from side to side and see the window.

Look for wind 12 to 20 mph. Less than that won't be fun.

riffclown - 3-1-2016 at 09:54 AM

My first buggy ride was with my converted Symphony. Be patient the wind will happen.

m00ms - 3-1-2016 at 09:59 AM

roll on some more wind and like you say itll come! what do you mean converted symphony ?

with regards to 4 line kite i am down to a choice of 2 now, either hq beamer 6 2.0m or peter lynn hornet 2.0m

i dont mind changing to bigger once ive learnt the power and brake handles but which would be better choice ? peter lynn or hq?

thanks

Either the Beamer or the Hornet will give a good pull ANd learning to fly them well will give you a great foundation to progress.

re: Converted Symphony.
Sent you a U2U earlier.. For details click on the HQ Symphony 2.2.4! link in my signature.

just watched your videos and can i say how easy and controlled you make that look! can i ask how long you have been flying?

i did wonder if a 2 line could be converted to a 4 line,i am a hands on person but think for the minute i will just buy my first 4 line but hats off to you for converting one

I don't want to hijack your thread. Once you get out with your foil for any amount of regularity, you'll get to where you don't even need to see it to know what is going on with it. It will become second nature to you.

I really like both my 2M Hornet & my Crossfire. The Beamer is a great kite as well. Great choices you'll enjoy for a long time.

Welcome m00ms,you have other choices too,one would be a PKD Buster soulfly 2.2m. They are great kites and tough as all get out as well. He are a few vids of me and others flying PKDs. They make great high wind engines too!

All great, but I really, really like the third video with exclusively backwards footage. That was awesome!

I do that sometimes. That time I did it to get good shots of Chris because it was his first buggy solo (he had tandem flown with me before but never piloted a buggy before ). I had to slalom down the beach to keep from outrunning him. Was a fun day for sure.

riffclown - 3-1-2016 at 04:14 PM

WELDNGOD taught me to ride as well.. My first buggy ride was in his buggy, at his riding spot.

hi riffclown and dont worry your not hijacking my thread as all and any help is very appreciated,i do hope that with some time it will come natural as the other day on my first flight i did manage to steer kite into the ground rather than away from it!! oops!

hi weldngod and thanks for your sugestion on kite i will bear that one in mind, think i am going to get some time in with the symphony 1.8 first then go 4 line next!

also thanks for the videos :)
