It's been a long time since i have had anything to do with the kiting community. Had my kit stored in the garage for many years and I am hoping to get
them out again soon!
Been looking around online and it seems a lot has changed!
Ive got a full quiver of flexifoil sabre 2's (PUNK) and some old blades.
What the hot land kites around at the moment ? Windstruck - 8-1-2016 at 04:54 PM
There are many, many fine kites on the market. So many factors to consider to properly address your question. Are you inland, ocean side, do you
plan to buggy, ride some type of land board, snowkite? Do you have a bend towards flying kites off of a bar compared to handles or visa versa? Do
you want to stay firmly planted to the ground or are you looking to boost? This is just a sampling of questions that depending on your answers could
change the answers folks give you here.
I have a personal bias towards so-called "single skin" kites. All but one of my kites is single skin, the dual skin kite being an 6m Ozone Access.
My single skins are both DP (Flysurfer Peak-2) and more-or-less FB (Born-Kite NASA Star-3). I thing those all make for fine motive power for a host
of kiting sports, but that's just my bend. There are select few (and you know who you are) that won't miss a chance to refer to single-skins as "bed
sheets", "flying your underwear", etc. Doesn't hurt my feelings; the problem is theirs not mine.
