I am looking for a kite to use primarily for land boarding with the occasional trip to the water. I am looking for a closed cell SIK and all I can
find is ratings for people around 75-80 kg (165-185 lbs). Problem is that I am around 95 kg (210 lbs). Also, where I live wind speed average for the
year is around 8-9 mph. I was thinking that 12 m would be the right size, but after further research, I was leaning toward a 15 m. Now I'm looking at
19 m kites. I want something that will move me in 8-10 mph winds but won't kill me in the occasional 15-20 mph winds and will be versatile for both

In those windspeeds it will be hard for anyone to get moving. lol in 9mph youre looking at at an 18m foil. I think 9-10mph is the minimum to get
going on the water in an decent way. but I'm sure those are just average windspeeds for your area so there will be lots of days with more wind than
that. there is no one kite quiver in my opinion unless u get same seed winds every day so there will always be opposites either strong or light. I
don't believe in a kite bigger than 18m as it just gets to slow .but kamikuzas 19m may be perfect for u as I'm a little bit lighter than u . I would
say 18/19m and 12m would be a perfect combo for the water. the other issue is that landboarding uses a lot less power than on the water . my biggest
landboarding kite on beach sand is 15m and on asphalt a 10m, any bigger and its no point to kite as the wind is too lowand kite too slow so choose

oh le me clear something up , the 15m I use on beach sand is a closed cell foil and the 10m is a open cell for my biggest kite on asphalt. you need
to go up 1 or 2 sizes for a closed cell as its a little less power. so lets say a 15m speed is equal to a similar type 13/14m open cell foil. Amdms8 - 13-2-2016 at 06:28 PM
