NEW & UNUSED Zooter Land Sailer with 4.5m sail for sale

jeepersjoey - 15-2-2016 at 08:17 PM

For sale. Brand New Zooter Land Sailer with 4.5m sail. New in OEM bags.

In an effort to assist the seller, I offered to present it on the Power Kite Forum.

This Zooter is new from China via Australia and still in storage bags. List price in 2009 was $2700. She is selling for half price, $1350 + Shipping from Denver.

The buggy breaks down very well. Axle, two side bars, two stabilizer bars from Axle to Mast, Mast mounting bracket, seat, fork, footpegs and wheels all fit into one rectangular bag. In the other longer bag fits the two-piece mast, sail, boom and misc pulleys.

The two bags fit inside of my two-door 2009 Accord without any concern. It is compact!

I took many of pictures of mine (which is an exact duplicate of the new one except shows a lot of wear (it was well used as a demo)).

I took pictures of it next to my Flexifoil buggy to show a comparison between the two.

Normal wind surfer sails work as well. I installed my "Aerotech" 4.9m sail and it looked great!

In an effort to assist the seller...I will bring the new Zooter to IBX in April. This will save you a few hundred dollars.

If interested, send me a message. If you have questions, ask them in the forum so everyone will benefit!

$1350 and delivered to IBX!

(She asked me to say AS-IS which I do not understand since it is new. However, there you go...AS-IS).

I realize you posted that the Zooter is from Australia, but that is not where it is manufactured. It is actually made in Guangdong China, there is an importer from Australia that sells them (amoung others around the world). The buggy is actually a modified Kite Trike buggy. The one we received as a demo was also not Stainless Steel but chrome plated steel which rusted quite quickly, even in the Nevada desert where water is very scarce. I am not sure if this one is the same material as they could have changed that out on this one. The construction was not nearly the quality as the Blokart or the Manta - both of which have a much larger wheel base and are much more versatile (for sailing). The price listed is reasonable but compared to the proven quality of the Manta Windjammer for only 500+ more, I would seriously consider the Manta.

Not wanting to hijack or derail the sale at all, just wanted to point out a couple things.

For someone wanting to try out the land sailing scene for the least investment, this may be a great package.

Kent, yes, you did hijack my thread and throw water on it.

However, I have to much respect for you to take it personally.

More important is the info that you gave. Good for me to know since I bought the used one. I too have concerns on the strength since I am 230 lbs and as gentle as a moose.

I will say that it is NOT as beefy as my Flexifoil or Libre buggies. No question there.

She bought them in 2009 and I do not have any rust on mine. Therefore, perhaps it is SS or they upgraded their process of chroming!

I had a Manta single. It fit great on my Suburban. It extended over the front and down both sides when I transported. Plus, I had to store the thing! The Zooter fit into a two door coupe with plenty of space...which is a huge selling point (the reason people like blocarts so much).

I hope that someone has an interest. She was a super-nice lady and I'd like to assist her to sell since she has no connections to this "world". I get nothing out of the deal other than helping someone.

Thanks for the info Kent

I did not want to throw water, but wanted to give a little background info on it so somoene who did not know was aware of what it is they are buying.

As I stated, for the price this is a good unit, especially if you are not sure if you want to jump in with both feet full force. It will do the job and they are a blast of fun. Compared to the Blokart, this yacht would be about half the cost. Nice thing about these units is that you can ship them normal UPS. The Manta's are much more expensive and difficult to ship because of their size and they don't break down very easily at all. You aren't going to haul a Manta around in a Toyota Corolla.

Easy way to see if it is stainless or not is to stick a magnet on it. if it sticks good and firm, it's steel. :) If not then it is most likely stainless.

It is getting close to IBX

The seller called me today and asked if there was any interest in her Zooter.

Anyone have an interest and want to make her an offer?

I offered to bring to IBX to eliminate shipping costs.

Lemme know!

This is probably the last week for me to get the new Zooter from her.

I understand this may not be the one that the 300 lb gorilla needs but maybe it is perfect for a person under "gorilla" size!

I will have mine at IBX.

Maybe you will see it and have an interest... But, then you will need to make shipping plans ($200?).

Send me an offer and perhaps she will say yes!
