Navaro Kite Buggy wanted

crewl1 - 17-3-2016 at 08:14 AM

Hello - before I order from the UK does anyone in the US have a Flexifoil Navaro Kite Buggy to sell? Please send a u2u if you have one to sell or know where I can source one. Thanks, Larry.

I think Flexifoil sold them all during the last sale: http://www.flexifoil.com/navaro-kite-buggy/

Yes I contacted them and they said all gone and no estimate when they will make another batch.
There is an outfit in UK that has them in stock but figured I would ask to see if there are any in US first.

We sold out of them pretty fast, don't have any left and not sure when we will be able to get some more.

The navaro was upgraded from the original flexifoil, however the upgrades were limited and could easily be achieved purchasing an original. You can have a seat made (VTT) if Van is still willing to do this or get one from across the pond. A new seat will allow you to run pads on the side rails and give you extra back support. You can purchase a wide axle for one here in the states. (approx. 200.00 on e-bay) The bigger axle bolts are a plus but not a huge deal from the old ones running 12mm.
The shipping alone would cost more than finding one here and upgrading it yourself. I've been beating the snot out of mine for over 8 years and have not had one issue with welds or any broken parts....Just wanted you to know this while you are searching....
If you are a big person then you may want to look into a different model. (Van makes a beautiful buggy, well constructed and is available if something happens to break) and a libre is a slight upgrade as you are more able to "sit in the seat" with lots of back support.
You can also U2U Conrad as the one he got last year was pretty nice. Just tossing out some options for you while you are looking. ;)

Thanks for all tips everyone. I have three older buggies that I use every so often or have kept in hopes the grand kids can use eventually, including an older Flexi, and a couple of PL models.

Really the main reason I am interested in this buggy is that my last name is Navarro so I think it would be cool to own one.

Plus it seems like a decent buggy with improvements over my relics.

Anyone have a picture of a VTT seat in a flexi?
Would like to see some options from that slung original

Take a look back in the For Sale Classifieds. I had one listed with the VTT seat.

It is sold...but it will give you a pic of the buggy with the seat.

Absolutely agree...VTT seat is amazing!

So the UK vendor who said they had some Navaro's in stock did not actually have them when I pressed, they thought they could order from Flexifoil.
I will continue my quest.
Thanks for all the help and tips.

This is also a $700 option until another batch of Navaro's are built: http://www.xxtreme.nl/xxproducts/basixx-kitebuggy-freestyle/

Shipping will be a lot from overseas on any buggy.

For about same cost with barrow wheels..consider a Sysmic 2.

Best deal per dollar. Solid build, 'real' rims, good seat....nice .

Pic below is upgraded version w/ XL Midi- wheels for ~ $150 more

My dream buggy...

That is one fine looking buggy skimt. As I've gotten more into this sport I've really come to appreciate good design geometry in a bug. Like so many before me I started with a stock PL bug (in this case Folding) but quickly upgraded and then upgraded again. Glad I didn't get into boating......

Thanks for the tips on the buggys. As I mentioned really the main reason I am looking for the Navaro is that my last name is Navarro and it seems a decent buggy. The ones linked and the Libre and others seem like nice rides too. For the amount of times I get out to buggy my current set have served fine but would like to own the Navaro just because.
Here is my bevy all packed up and ready to head out to Ivanpah this weekend. There is a super old PL, a first gen Flexifoil, and a PL comp?? maybe.
Been dabbling in buggies since late 90's, and if you think my buggies are ancient wait till you see the rags I power them with :)

abkayak - 25-3-2016 at 05:15 AM

hummmp...i like your style

3shot - 25-3-2016 at 07:52 AM

Man I'd love an old school flexi!

crewl1 - 26-3-2016 at 08:12 AM

The Flexi is my wife's and she won't let me sell it. Seat is too small for my big a55 but it fits her perfect and is the only buggy she will use so it's staying with us :)
