Born-Kite 50% off Sale - NS3s!!!!! - SOLD OUT

Windstruck - 3-4-2016 at 04:14 PM

Born-Kite fans - I'm thinning my quiver to make room for some new goodies down the road. I'm selling six NS3s, all in great shape for 50% off what I paid for them in the past year.

All NASA-Star-3s:

4.0m: $85 - SOLD
5.5m: $95 - SOLD
7.0m: $115 - SOLD
8.5m: $160 - SOLD
10.0m: $185 - No longer available for sale
12.5m: $210 - No longer available for sale

Born-Kite three-line (20m) bar setup: $50 - SOLD

Pricing does not include shipping charges which will be extra.

Each kite comes in its own custom stuff sack. All are in superb shape. I'm holding onto my 1.5, 2.5, and 3.2m, converting them over to Z-bridles.

Get 'em while they're hot and before I come to my senses! :karate:

EDITED: I figured the 10.0m and 12.5m kites would be the last to go as they are more specialized. If a fellow NASA Star Fan Boy is sitting out there mildly salivating at the idea of owning one of these beautiful beasts but aren't sure how they'd fly in your particular wind conditions I'd be pleased to entertain a "try before you buy" scenario.

Here's what I'm thinking: if this deal interests you please send me a U2U with your address. I'll send you either the 10.0m or 12.5m NS3 and I will cover the shipping cost. If you like it then you keep the kite and send me the cost of the kite plus what I spent to ship it to you via PayPal.

If you try but then don't want to buy then just send the kite back to me with you paying for the return shipping. This way we share the risk if you don't buy and it just goes as per usual if you want it. Seems fair to me anyway.

You know you want some chicken! :D

If you have 2nd thoughts on the 1.5m, let me know.

Will do Jason. Truth is I haven't ever flown it. I had it custom made so it is sort of special to me. Same goes for my 3.2m as it was the one I won on XK. Almost had my chance last week but I ended up delaying my trip to IBX by a day to avoid the sorts of winds that it might have shown. Lived to fly another day. The day I missed utahtami set the world woman's buggy record at 58.8 mph. Yowsa.

WHAAAAAAAAA?!?!?!

Been thinking I want a 2.5m but A. No $$ B. You're not selling it

Aw man...I remember teasing you about selling the NS3's and you responded with a 'I'm crazy' emoticon.

I ended up buying the 2.5, 5.5 and 8.5 at full price from Steffen.

Wish I would have held off a little while and then saw this email. Oh well...

Doh! Still several available. The 7m would fit nicely in your lineup. It honestly is a wonderful flyer. I liked it's color scheme so much I modeled my custom 1.5m after its primary color elements.

Already got the 4m and 7m. Totally hooked on them for streetkiting.

Love the way they sit so far back in the window...you can run right at them and pretend you're racing down the line on a steep section!

Well alrighty then! Glad you are getting such nice use of these wonderful kites. When you are ready for the Big Mommas (10m and 12.5) please let me know. If your wind is reasonably clean and steady these can be very fun to fly. If janky with lulls and gusts they become both frustrating and hair raising.

Great thanks to all of you who connected with me about this sale of NS3s. I'm sorry I couldn't accommodate everybody's request but I understandably had to go with first come, first served.

I've updated the original thread posting to reflect remaining inventory. The red-hot 10.0m and 12.5m behemoths remain available! I know of at least one other 10.0m NS3 in GA (you know who you are Soliver!) but somebody out there has the chance to be likely the only person in the entire US to own a legend, the venerable 12.5m. :D

You know you want some chicken!

soliver - 6-4-2016 at 07:16 PM

I can't speak for the 12.5m, but I have a 10m and it is awesome sauce for sure. It deffo saves my sessions on those sub 10 mph days... can't wait to be the only one still flying at JIBE

Still wishing I could afford to convince you to let me have your 2.5m!

the 2.5 is one sweet kite. some of the most fun I've had on the ns. Of course I haven't flown the 1.5 yet.

Yup. And the 10.0m would be perfect for you.

ssayre - 7-4-2016 at 03:02 PM

lots of activity here on the 1.5 and the 2.5, but I would really like the 3.2. :)

3shot - 7-4-2016 at 05:47 PM

Sounds like a plan. I'll grab the 1.5, Spencer wants the 2.5, and Sean calls dibs on the 3.2. Wow that's a quick sale.

Windstruck - 7-4-2016 at 06:31 PM

With brothers like you Three Amigos who needs family!

Any time you jokers want to quit whining over what is never going to happen and start getting real wth those 10 and 12.5m honeys is fine by me. ;)

Windstruck - 7-4-2016 at 07:58 PM

Winner winner chicken dinner! The 10m is heading out the door to one lucky person for a test drive (you know who you are ;) ).

The legendary 12.5m remains in play. No Sean, Spencer, and Jason, the small guys are not. :D

Windstruck - 18-4-2016 at 12:47 PM

12.5m still available. Just sayin....... ;)

ssayre - 18-4-2016 at 01:07 PM

soliver - 19-4-2016 at 04:34 AM

I can almost read your thoughts: "What? The 12.5 is still available? I can't believe my luck! I need to U2U Steve NOW and get that deal off the street!!"

:eekdrull:

3shot - 23-5-2016 at 04:30 PM

I thought Spencer's 10m was a behemoth at JIBE. I can't imagine the 12:o

Jason, you don't just have to imagine it... you can own a piece of history!

Spencer is surely confident in his masculinity; he'd be completely fine with you having a larger NS3 than him. ;)

soliver - 24-5-2016 at 05:01 AM

I am indeed both confident in my masculinity and fine with either Jason or Sean owning the 12.5m... 10m is plenty for me!

3shot - 24-5-2016 at 06:00 AM

ssayre - 24-5-2016 at 06:46 AM

I'm out. I'd love to own it but my toy buying days are over for awhile. Trying to get caught up on stuff around the house.
