Handles

I have a Prism Stylus P2 and will soon be getting a P4! I have a great set of padded wrist strap handles and was wandering if there is a good way to make them easy to switch from one kite to another.

Thanks,

I presume the strap handles have a D-ring or triangular ring where yourflying lines larkshead onto, correct?

Get some bridle line - something rated at #350-450 lbs ought to be fine for those kites. Cut two pieces about 10" long, bring the ends together, and tie a figure eight knot near the ends. Larkshead that around your D-ring. Now larkshead your line around that knot.

But why not just get a nother set of straps, or look into adding the brake line option and get into flying them on handles as 4-line kites. Once you learn how to use brakes, 2-lines on a traction kite will just be cool retro.

Krumly,

Thanks for the tips. The knots you suggested is what I was planning on doing, I just didn't know if that was a strong enough setup for that kind of kite. My plan is to get a 4-line setup for my P4 because I think you have better control. Any input on the P4 compared to other kites like the Firebee? I flew a Firebee 3.5 while I was in Mexico last week and was immediately bit by the traction kite bug. I need more pull. Any input is appreciated.

I think you're heading down the right track with the quad handles. My friend did a pretty good superman with the p4. those handles can be hard to get out of.
