Nothing i hate more...ill take a nasty dog anytime over these
blowing 28-35 onshore last night...just awesome conditions
1st run was kinda upwind doing a park n ride like 20mph on hardpak and i take note of the leftover obstacles from the day trippers...down wind leg i was carrying way to much speed so went up to the soft stuff to scrub some off...3ft wide 2 ft deep hole, never saw it coming...hit it @ 20+..its amazing visualizing all the possibility's of whats about to happen to you and the bug...none good, and the worst ones you think of 1st..anyway the PL didnt snap in half and i still had the family jewels but snapped off my left foot peg...cant stop riding and stay out trying everything possible w/ my leg and steering...anyway word of warning if you do this under conditions like this it opens you up to obe's in a big way...i lost count...but the 1st one i'll never forget...it kept me from crashing into the jetty at speed. it would have been real bad...turned and saw my bug sitting on top of the rocks, making a play to reach the inlet..coulda smashed into the rocks than drowned idk, but kite got behind me and i obe'd instead...any way another memorable night on the beach, thought id share...moral of the story...have a back up bug or 2 because i got 3 more days of this in the forecast

That's quite a story. Good the foot peg gave before your foot.

Did it damage the fork.

No stuff like that at my spots but there is occasional 6" wruts from the law mowers I hit. Also a couple water meter bases that sit about 2 1/2" out of the ground and my butt is around 2" off ground. Those are the worst.

think my fork is fine...ripped the cup off that holds the foot peg and lost both latter in the day...guess im team flexi again
maybe time to build this into a bigfoot for those high water days...already have the tires

Gotta say, all of the visuals were pretty equally brutal. Super glad you are here to relay your heroic deeds.

Sean - that can be a desirous 1/2" of clearance..... Clarence.
