LA/Hollywood area

Hi guys,

Im trying to find locals and information for the LA/Hollywood area. Im taking my RV there for a 4-5 day stop, and need a suitable beach to kite and film on, thats big and hard packed for land kiting. Also, it needs to be as close as posible to LAX, I have to fly someone in and out at the change over.

So yeah, anyone that lives local or anything please give me a shout! Were filming for a new landboarding instructional with Best Kiteboarding, www.drill2.co.uk - come say hi when we are in town!

If you have any information, please could you email it to me, I dont come on here often.

Thanks so much, Alex Brown

yo alex, you know where i am... gimme a call when your in the area

Hard packed sand around LA... problem... it's all soft until the tide is completely low (and then you need to worry about the wind being in the right direction as theres not much space and LA is crammed with people (22 million to be exact) so the beaches get VERY busy and the big LA beaches have strict kiting regulations to keep people from getting whipped by the lines!

You'll need to take a trip up to pismo, its the closest decent beach with hard packed sand as far as i know (TAKE ME WITH YOU IF YOU GO!!!! :) )
Looks like this:

Huge and hard packed, the drive is around 3 hours from LA i think...

Have you tried sandboarding? I tried it the other day on an MBS Core8 deck only, was pretty good fun if the winds enough you might have a laugh doing that and would add another bit of colour to your film!

I think i told you about the hollywood sign field - might be good for a few shots, otherwise, at low tide and wind direction permitting seal beach will work...

Let me know when your in town!
