Winds averaging close to mid 20's... gusts to 30's and chance of hitting gust of 40mph.
Buggy Danny was out at Nahant and using PL Vapor 3.2 or 2.8m? .......anyway... he was on his way to downsize...
His buggy flew past at high speed.
Matt S. had his 4m Peak handling the PUNCHY wind well..as witnessed again.
I was on 2m Ozone Flow on my Coyotes.
Something about the low grunt of a 2m even in high winds that allows you to handle power unhooked vs. a big kite at much lower winds. No
jumping today.
These were, again, punchy high winds...... 'sporty' or somewhat 'on edge' conditions........ never hooked in and rode 'Popeye' for extra safety.
Big change from 6.4 Blade I rode few days ago .....though MY speed was also just as fast with it in winds that were on low side(9 to 12-ish mph) .
And this was Sooo.. much more relaxed and mellow last time.
Wind gusts sound like a freight train going by outside of my window of house as I write this...:o
Nope...never broke out camera so no pic or viddy......sorry

Having to much fun to get the camera out, I totally understand.
Sounds like a perfect day to play.

25/40+ gusts here all day, not the best direction unless you do water..plumb beach must have been lit big time
cleanest west wind youd ever see...maybe some of the NJ folk got their game on?

When the gusts are past 35 knts its not worth the trouble kiting in my opinion too much of a struggle with everything . the wind had a nw to it so
no one was at plumb. i waited till after 4pm and it was a much better.

Add 1.7 and/or 2.4 Sting to your collections for big winds. The 1.7 is good for buggy use as long as it's blowing at least 30mph. Best high wind
small kite I've found so far.
