I have been kitting for about 4 years and Finally I have seen a kite Exploded. The sound was distinctive and loud. It would have been cool if it
were not a $100 sound effect. The kite died at the seen. Not Even the great Jeff Howard could revive it.
The scenario - Ivanpah - 45 -50 mph winds with 10-15 mph gusts. That was a really fun day with my .7 meter pulling an equivalent of 350 pounds
easily on a Libra full race buggy across the plia.
Untill - WHAM-POP it went screaming into the horizontal plain and blew out half of its canopy on impact.
I now have experienced "High End Wind Range"
I know you could have told me so but it sure was fun doing it myself.
Cheers - see you all on the hollowed dirt.
But such a *satisfying* sound, eh?

Funny how the sound of a kite exploding is almost cool, even though you know it's gonna cost ya.
First time a blew a few cells on a favorite kite I was crestfallen, but later, recalling the somehow satisfying "Whump!" it made, I kept finding
myself giggling. Go figger!
