Hi everyone,

I have got a 15m Ozone Summit Ultralite kite (2015 edition) for sale.

The great thing about this kite is that it has the internal re-ride release system.

It's a good kite if:
- You are a bigger person
- You want to have fun kiting in extremely light winds
- You are a backcountry kite-tourer
- You like the safety of Ozone's internal re-ride system
- You are carrying or towing lots of gear
- You like getting absolutely massive floaty air

Not good if:
- You are a smaller or shorter person

I'm selling because I don't use it enough (I have flown it 8 times over the last two seasons)
I'm an average sized guy (76kg) and I have discovered a few fun spots to kite in the Australian Alps where the wind compression effect created by the mountains makes kiting possible with a medium sized kite on extended lines (even when it is only blowing 4 knots everywhere else). So this kite is pretty much surplus to my needs and has to go.

It is in great condition, no repairs or wear anywhere other than some light fuzz on the depower trim line.

It is in very, very good condition. No marks, lines waxy, fabric crinkly and clean, etc etc.
If you buy this kite you won't be disappointed.

You can see this kite in action in this youtube vid:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-VsnoO-YLA
(disclaimer - I sped the footage up to 1.2 on the initial hill climbing scene on the Ramshead)

Available complete with backpack, bar and lines: $900 USD
or
Kite only: $750 USD

LOCATED IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

More photos or skype interview/inspection available on request

Cheers,

Pat

(whew - thank goodness that worked)

Enjoyed the video icebird - looks like you've got a great place to ride down there!

Cheers Nate,

Yeh, Australia has quite a lot of great kite terrain, the only problem is that the season is only 2 or maybe 3 months long at best!

Price drop! Get yourself a piece of the light-wind action this season.
Remember this kite is in great condition.

Still here, make an offer

This is the ultralite model.
Make me an offer

I see you've listed things for sale on XK in the past (at least up to 2015). I'd think you might have better luck selling a kite in Australia on that forum as most folks on there seem to be from Australia or New Zealand. Maybe I missed it, but I don't see a listing there for this kite. Good luck in any case. I've owned this very kite in the standard (not ultralight) version and thought it a great kite. I for one think the ultralight is the way to go for this size summit as it would help get it off the ground in light winds. I experienced some difficulties getting my much heavier kite off the ground in the sort of light winds I wanted to fly a 15m DP kite in.

PM sent.

icebird - 2-5-2017 at 01:46 AM

Hi Sigma, can't see a PM from you. Can you try again please?

Hi Windstruck, thanks for that. We are in our off season at the moment, snow should start falling in a month or so, and then the season proper will begin in late July.

I have an expedition in the making which I might just need this kite for, so I am kind of happy to sit on it for a while!

Still available though!

Sorry for late reply - I am not in the habit of checking these sites very often
