Ya gotta love it....

Well, yesterday was too windy for the new 8.6.
I sliced three toes open crossing the tidal creek.
The wind was from the NW - gusty and lumpy.
I broke a wheel. Broke......a.......wheel. (Who does that?)
And still drove home grinnin'.
Because a tough day of kiting is still a day at the beach.

Funny how we register in our brains what a good day is or if we succeed.
For me if I can drive home by myself without a stop at the ER, it was a good day.
I had both the front differential and the rear differential blow up on my way home from WBB last month and the trip was the best I've had in years.
Hope you heal soon.

Ya the wind has been pretty bad on the island recently. I got out this morning a bit, but it was shifty and gusty. I got to try out my new ATB and I got it moving a bit, which I would call a success for my first run a it.

Bummer about the toes and wheel Jim!... I broke a wheel myself, but only because I over inflated my tire,... and maybe because I bought it from that BigKid... what a scammer he is

nice to hear to stories of your adventures bugging Jim on SSI and Jekyll. Keep the stories coming and buggy safe and quite chumming the waters for tidal creek sharks.

What got your toes? I'd like to see a pic of that broke wheel.

Boom!

JimSSI - 11-11-2016 at 05:08 PM

Yup - busted it up real good - rim flew off into the river - middie tire was a bigfoot, for a while.
