Nice!

Bead Bird is definitely on my must visit list.

At what stage is the tide? Do you just get that strip to run small wheels or does it go out farther?

The scenes along the beach were during a low tide that was lowering, it varies quite a bit from a large expansive strip to a very narrow line of hard-packed sand.

Hey Ken, the tide only changes a foot or so. There is a wide section (a couple of hundred yards) for about 1/2 mile then it narrows, but that section is too soft for blades. The narrower part goes for miles, but you need onshore winds. As long as there are no cold fronts, it blows mostly onshore. The only really smooth hard pack is near the water. Check it out on google satellite view. It's the far west of Galveston island at San Luis Pass.

You need to come down! Some day I hope to come back up to SOBB.

Steve.
