PTW Kite Buggies For Sale

MDK - 29-11-2016 at 10:46 PM

I really hate to do this but I need to sell my kite buggies.
The PTW Viper; I used it maybe 6 times, comes with both the Landsegler and Beach Racer set-up. it is currently double+padded to fit my 34 in. waist so it will fit medium to large pilots.

The PTW Playa; Also used maybe 6 times, fits small to medium sized pilots.

I have no idea what a kite buggies like these are worth, and I'm not sure how much I have into them but I'm hoping to get $2195 for the Viper and $1195 for the Playa.

@Windstruck perhaps? :D:thumbup:

BeamerBob - 30-11-2016 at 07:22 AM

Wow. These are both first class, hand made pieces of buggy art. Priced to sell too. Mike is as good as gold in case you don't know him.

Hey! I resemble that remark. :moon:

With friends like you...

Sorry, but with Van's handiwork in place I am all set in the buggy department. Now if Flysurfer were to come out with a 15-16m Peak3..... :saint:

slapbasswoody - 30-11-2016 at 07:56 AM

Hmmmm I could be interested in the Playa for my son. Let me have a think about it.
Carl is a nice chap indeed and it would be sad not to see these buggies running.

BeamerBob - 30-11-2016 at 08:08 AM

Mike didn't mention that the price of the Viper could almost be spent on the tires and wheels alone.

Also the Viper has a custom fork to fit both wheel types. This is no garage conversion. Well unless you count PTWs garage! First class all the way.

bigkid - 30-11-2016 at 09:41 AM

Mike, are you retiring from the sport? I hope not.

Now that's a X-mas present for Jack if there ever was one! As a young Brit recently transplanted to these glorious united states the US patriotic colors on full display on the Playa would have him setting an ideal tone right out of the chute. :D

slapbasswoody, I would consider throwing in my set of Viper S kites for a $450 increase, a complete set-up for your son, they too are like new.

This price is only for the package deal BTW ;)

Yeah when I say I don't know what I have into them it's because I'm afraid to work that out ;) $$$$$ however, Carl did treat me well, I have to say that.

BTW Bobby, thanks for the kind words.

@slapbasswoody - Come on Paul, you know you want some chicken!

No, I converted to the sail but I still attend the buggy events when I can, I may have changed my ride but I cannot change my friends, just make more ;)

Since Alvord is my primary playground and with the type of predominate wind we get there I get more seat time with the Standart sailer.

I'm 38-37 as well and fit easily in the Viper. I'd probably even tighten it up a bit.

popeyethewelder - 14-12-2016 at 11:51 AM

It will be good to see the buggy on the sand, sad to see it leave Mike, but at the same time excited that it will bring big smiles to its new owner.....hopefully

mainekite2 - 18-12-2016 at 05:48 AM

I am now the proud owner of the PTW Viper. Its awesome.
Thanks Mike:D

skimtwashington - 18-12-2016 at 07:15 AM

Congrats, Craig.

You got enough to start a rental program now...?

Great that it comes w/two set of wheels for all conditions!:thumbup: ..and no plastic rims:thumbup:

MDK - 19-12-2016 at 10:40 AM

You are welcome Craig, it will be good to see it out on the beach!
The Playa is still available, it wouldn't be difficult to make it fit a larger pilot, just move the rails to the outside of the axle flanges and a spacer for the swan neck & rear brace.

How's that? :)

bigkid - 19-12-2016 at 08:01 PM

You don't have the buggy anymore, you can replace it with your Landsailer.
