For the first time ever we have a woman in the #1 position in the GSR. Molly Savard (USA) took the first spot with a top speed of 55.5mph! Next
closest rider was Robert Goodwin (NOR) with 50.8mph followed closely by Herb Cuene (USA) with 50.6mph.
The winner of this wee's random t-shirt drawing was Mike Lapukta.

I'm heading to Houston next week so this week might be my last chance for the season Colder weather recently has slowed the ice melt, but once it's started the lakes are going fast this year. I wouldn't be surprised to see open
water by the time I get back.

Yeah, I quit going out around here. Typically we would have another solid month of good ice, but things are getting too sketchy for my comfort level.
Ice quality took a huge hit early this year. When you can drill through a foot of ice in seconds flat and hit water before your through, you know
it's getting pretty rotten. Not worth it. One more outing this weekend in northern MN and that's a wrap for me. Then the grieving process begins.
