I heard from his wife Carla in December as she was double checking JIBE dates. They were looking forward to returning to Jekyll

I heard back from Chad / Phreerider. He is well. His wife and daughter had schedule conflict this year but he is planning on JIBE 2018.

Sounds like he is riding a lot with a tribe of locals - kind of like our old local SOFKA (Southern Fried Kiters Assoc) - but more intense.
I'll encourage him to share more about it here.
