12m Flysurfer Peak3 & Infinity 3.0 Bar -- SOLD --

Windstruck - 11-6-2017 at 07:38 AM

Get it while it's hot! Rare to find, barely used 12.0m Flysurfer Peak3 with 60cm Infinity 3.0 PP Bar with five lines. Kite is strung with Flysurfer's new "reefline" safety system which is a dedicated 5th line safety system that scrunches up the kite from the middle like an accordion when deployed.

Kite has been flown twice, once on the Ivanpah playa and once on the "beach" of the Great Salt Lake. Kite, lines, and bar are in pristine condition with no wear points or other issues. New the kite costs $850 and the bar $500. Will sell for just less than 60%. Own your very own Session Saver!

Why? I'm sticking with my Born-Kites, having really fallen in love with Steffen's LongStar2's and of course his venerable NS3s.

Damn it Windstruck! This is the exact kite I'm selling off my quiver for. But it's too soon. I haven't sold enough kites yet. You needed to wait a few more weeks.

Wind_dog - 11-6-2017 at 12:02 PM

Blitz - I wondered if you were going to jump on this after our SOBB session saver flights. I also flew my 9 and 6 at EOW after you left. :)
Now itching for more beach time but need to finish up this whole moving thing. Hope to see you in July!

Glad to see you are interested in this beauty. Even though the price has been reduced to less than 60% retail I appreciate that $800 is a lot of dough to come up with all at once. I get that you are trying to sell some other kites to get your very own Session Saver, and I don't blame you.

My son just graduated from the University of OR so I'll make you a special OR deal. I will sell the kite to you in four, $200 installments (plus shipping) via PayPal. After I receive the first $400 (plus shipping) I'll ship. You can pay me the final $400 all at once or in two more installments of $200. I would ask that you send me the 3rd and 4th installment no less frequently than once per month after I ship. I would characterize this deal as an "I trust you and you trust me" arrangement.

Go Ducks! :karate:

And this right here is one of the great things about being a part of this forum!

Blitzhound - 11-6-2017 at 05:03 PM

Yes sir. Windstruck kinda blew my mind. I didn't see that coming at all. I'm super grateful to Windstruck and thankful to be a part of the PKF community. I had the opportunity at SOBB to fly the Peak2 12m ( Thank you Eric67m and Wind-dog) while I can't completely explain it. The Peak felt very familiar. Like an old friend and we took to each other like peas and carrots. Again thank you Windstruck for making this possible.

3shot - 11-6-2017 at 05:11 PM

I like peas and carrots. Windstruck too

Welcome to the low wind peak club. This kiting community is the best for good people, trust and returned favors. John, it was great to meet you and hang out recently. Enjoy the peak.

Steve is a great seller and super to buy from... same way I got my session saver :D

Windstruck - 11-6-2017 at 06:08 PM

Thanks for all the kind sentiments my good brothers. When possible I like to ensure my fellow tribesman can get the equipment they need. That Blitz was "good for it" was a given and this just made sense to me with all the fine kites he has for sale (or already did sell) from his quiver. The 12m Peak can hold a special spot in a kiter's quiver. Kites like that shouldn't sit idle in a garage, they need to sing!

First installment already received.

Windstruck - 12-6-2017 at 11:48 AM

As expected, John (Blitzhound) has made good and we are already half way there! Kite shipped today. Gots to love PKF! :singing:

Most kind Jason, most kind. I wish I had this sort of trusting tribe for my other hobby, skiing. I have bought and sold a great deal of ski equipment via the internet over the years and never, ever pay list price for skis, boots, or bindings. Even with screaming deals I've never had one drop of a community feel in all my skiing transactions. PKF is truly special in that way!

I've found the kiting community to be every bit as nice in person and have had a blast getting to know fellow wind enthusiasts at IBX.

Fingers, toes, and yes, eyes crossed that my kite quiver is stable for a while. Yeah, right.... :frog:

Blitzhound - 12-6-2017 at 06:49 PM

Awesome community here on PKF made better by events. Like most of you I spend all year waiting for the next event. Haha! I hope to eventually make it to more events then just SOBB. Again...I can't thank you Enough Windstruck. I promise she won't sit idle. Living on the coast affords me the opportunity to buggy on a regular basis. Maybe now the Peak boys at SOBB will let me hangout with them now LOL! At least Lucy dog doesn't judge. Haha. Miss you guys already. Can't wait for fall SOBB and A.B.E. see all those peaks in the air.

Just got home off the boat last night. Finally able to open the box and have a look. That is one good looking piece of ripstop. WOW! I may have to buy more just on looks alone.

She's a beauty alright. Wait till you get that Big Lady up in the sky!

Blitzhound - 22-6-2017 at 04:39 PM

Speaking of which. I figured out the madness to the wind gods ways. Every single time I have gotten a new kite there is no wind for days. But this time. I got a new BIG kite and the wind is in the low mid 20's for the next several days. So the next time you want to fly a new kite you just got...all you need to do it buy a big low wind monster.

MotoFoo86 - 22-6-2017 at 05:11 PM

Blitz I had my 21 meter speed 4 up today just north of you a ways. Man up! ;)

Blitzhound - 22-6-2017 at 07:06 PM

Ouch! Fair enough. :o
