12m Peak2 5.1m PL Core NO LONGER FOR SALE

utahtami - 5-7-2017 at 05:53 PM

Trying to free the kites I don't use much:

12m Peak2. Nearly new. I mostly used my 4m Peak2 for gusty mountain conditions. I would consider a swap for a nearly new 9m Peak or Peak2. $700 plus shipping

5.1m Peter Lynn Core. Crispy. Hasn't seen the playa. Denver Broncos colors. Kite only. Original kite bag also mint condition. $300. Plus shipping .. Negotiate RTF.

These are kites I don't use a lot, but I like them both. Therefore I have decided to make more of an effort to use them. Kind of like a New Year's resolution...

Pulling a page from my book, eh tami?

The Core has been tempting - as was Rians. The 5.1 is the hole in my Core quiver.
I understand the conflict; they are wonderful kites to fly, but I feel much more comfortable with DP. Maybe I should look at them again now that I use the AQR?
With all the moves to DP lately, maybe there's a resurgence of FB waiting to happen!

Sean - of all people, I was hoping you would NOT notice.

Hiaguy - On the playa I only use FB with my AQR. In a grass park I enjoy DP. I do think the playa would take a toll on DP. My DP are looking for some off snow kiting season action

I can't talk towards the Core but the 12m P2 is a real workhorse in anyone's quiver. I'm glad therefore to seeing you hold onto the Peak. As for DP on the playa, yup, they can get the snot kicked out of them and their (overly abundant) bridling can get tangled easily, leaving its owner to age in dog years. :wow:

Hey OCD Steve, unlike the steady beach winds you are now enjoying in San Diego, I have found kite skiing in the mountains the winds lull completely then gust. I have used the 12m several times but mostly out of desperation when I'm willing to wait out the intervals in between any kind of breeze.

I'd think the 12m would be sort of tough in those conditons and I can see why you were looking for a 9m. A 12m becomes a whole lot of kite when a gust rolls in and I've long thought that a 9m for you would play like a 12m for me. I hope you get to work that out some day.
